THE LOCOMOTOR SYSTEM DISEASES COURSE (1012200013) TAKES PLACE IN THE FIRST SEMESTER OF THE SECOND YEAR. IT IS DIVIDED INTO SIX 7 CFU TEACHING MODULES, FOR A TOTAL OF 84 HOURS OF LESSONS. THE COURSE AIMS TO ENCOURAGE THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE REGARDING: TO PROVIDE THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF PSYCHOPATHOLOGY, SEMIOLOGY, DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPY OF PSYCHIATRIC DISEASES. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES WILL INCLUDE THE ACQUISITION BY THE STUDENT OF: 1) GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ON THE CULTURAL, HISTORICAL, SCIENTIFIC AND REGULATORY EVOLUTION OF PSYCHIATRIC CARE, ON THE NOSOGRAPHY OF MENTAL DISORDERS, THEIR ETIOPATHOGENETIC MODELS, AND THEIR EPIDEMIOLOGY; 2) KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN PSYCHIATRIC CLINICAL PICTURES AND DISABILITIES RELATED TO THEM BOTH IN INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND IN WORK FUNCTIONING; 3) KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE NURSE-PSYCHIATRIC PATIENT RELATIONSHIP; 4) ACQUISITION OF THE CLINICAL AND INVESTIGATION METHOD AND PRINCIPLES FOR RECOGNIZING, DIAGNOSING AND TREATING THE MOST COMMON NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES / COMPLICATIONS IN MEDICINE; 5) INTERPRETATION OF THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING AIMED AT IDENTIFYING THE AFOREMENTIONED DISEASES; 6) ACQUISITION OF THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF SEMIOLOGY, DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPY OF DISEASES OF THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN CLINICAL PICTURES OF NEUROLOGICAL, PSYCHIATRIC OR ORTHOPEDIC INTEREST AND UNDERSTANDING THEIR EVOLUTION; - KNOWLEDGE OF THE POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES ON PEOPLE'S FUNCTIONAL ABILITIES OF MAJOR PSYCHIATRIC, NEUROLOGICAL, OR ORTHOPEDIC DISEASES AND UNDERSTANDING THEIR LONG-TERM OUTCOME - GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF PHARMACOLOGY: PHARMACOKINETICS, PHARMACODYNAMICS, DRUG INTERACTIONS, ADVERSE REACTIONS AND PHARMACOVIGILANCE, PRINCIPLES OF PHARMACOGENETICS. NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS (NSAIDS) AND STEROID DRUGS (FAS) ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO THE DEFINITION OF RELATIONSHIPS WITH PATIENTS - ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO PRACTICE NURSING |

Teaching Methods | |

THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO LECTURES (84 HOURS) AND EXERCISES. THE LECTURES WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE THE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE VARIOUS MODULES. THE EXERCISES WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS TO APPLY WHAT SHE HAS LEARNED WITH THE COURSE. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN ORAL TEST. DURING THE ORAL EXAM, LASTING ABOUT 15 MINUTES, IT WILL VERIFY THE LEVEL OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE AUTONOMY OF ANALYSIS AND JUDGMENT, AS WELL AS THE STUDENT'S EXPOSITORY SKILLS. IN PARTICULAR, THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO ORIENT HIMSELF IN A DIAGNOSTIC-THERAPEUTIC PATH IN FRONT OF THE PRESENTATION OF CLINICAL CASES WILL BE EVALUATED. THE EXAM IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO HAVE LEARNED THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE VARIOUS DISCIPLINES. THE MINIMUM SCORE IN THE ORAL EXAM INCLUDES KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL THEMES OF THE VARIOUS MODULES. THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES THAT HE CAN CORRECTLY ILLUSTRATE AND DISCUSS THE THEMES OF ALL THE MODULES. EXCELLENCE REQUIRES ACHIEVING THE MAXIMUM SCORE IN ALL TESTS AND HAVING DEMONSTRATED EXCELLENT QUALITY OF EXPOSURE, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF APPROPRIATE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE AND EXCELLENT AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT. THE FINAL GRADE WILL RESULT FROM AVERAGE OF THE SCORES BETWEEN 18 AND 30 OF THE ORAL TESTS. |
