ACADEMIC CAREER
He took his degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Naples Federico II in 2004, with a dissertation entitled “Portable computerized fatigue test machine on unified specimens for residual stress measurement by means of neutron diffraction”.
From May 2008 to October 2008 he attended as visiting scientist, study and research activities concerning “Fatigue Behaviour of Laser Joint Welded Aluminium under Multiaxial Loading” at Fraunhofer Institut Betriebsfestigkeit Systemzuverlässigkeit LBF in Darmstadt Germany.
He took PhD in Mechanical Engineering System at University of Naples Federico II in 2008, with a dissertation entitled “Numerical thermo-structural analysis for residual stresses fields in welded joints”.
He has been Assistant Professor of Machine Design from December 2017 till December 2019 at Department of Chemical, Materials and Production Engineering (DICMaPI) of University of Naples Federico II.
Since December 2019 he is Associate Professor at Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIN) of University of Salerno.

From 2012 to 2014 he taught “Automotive Design” at Faculty of Engineering, University of Naples Federico II. (9 Credits/72 teaching hours, M.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering).
From 2011 to 2012 he taught “Computer Aided Structural Design” at Faculty of Engineering, University of Naples Federico II (4 Credits/32 teaching hours, M.Sc. Degree in Material Engineering).

INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL RESEARCH COOPERATIONS
He cooperates with some International Universities and Research Institutes and Company (such as CIRA - Italian Aerospace Research Centre, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik, Teilinstitut Greifswald, Research Center for Power Engineering Problems Russian Academy of Sciences, Ferraioli, Progetto Azienda, A.Q.C.).
RESEARCH FIELDS AND ACTIVITIES.
Member of the Editorial Board of journal: Advances in Materials Science and Engineering since 2018.
He has been member of the Organising Committee of the XXXVI AIAS Conference, Ischia (Italy) 2007.
His main research fields concern the following topics: residual stress in welding joint, development and use of numeric methods applied to structural analysis and aided design (FEM), fracture mechanics of aeronautic structures, static and fatigue analysis of welded joints and structures, mechanical behaviour of materials, experimental behaviour of composites structures. He is co-author of about 70 scientific papers published on international journal and conferences proceedings.
He is reviewer for several international journal: Engineering Failure Analysis (Elsevier), Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures (Wiley), Meccanica (Springer), Materials Characterization (Elsevier), Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science (Sage), International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (Elsevier), Materials and Design (Elsevier), Composites Part B (Elsevier) Advances in mechanical engineering (SAGE), Journal of Computational Design and Engineering (Elsevier), Frattura e Integrità strutturale.
