COURSE AIMTHE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE PROPERTIES AND REACTIVITY OF THE MAIN ORGANIC COMPOUNDS AND TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO A MORE IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF ORGANIC-BIOLOGICAL COMPOUNDS IN THE STRUCTURE-ACTIVITY RELATIONSHIP. KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN LABORATORY TECHNIQUES FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND PURIFICATION OF SOME CLASSES OF COMPOUNDS WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT: - WILL KNOW THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE PROPERTIES AND REACTIVITIES OF THE MAIN CLASSES OF CARBON COMPOUNDS - WILL UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS AND THEIR BIOLOGICAL ROLE. THE COURSE IS ORGANIZED IN THE FOLLOWING WAY: LECTURES IN THE CLASSROOM ON ALL THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE; EXERCISES IN THE CLASSROOM ON EACH OF THE COURSE TOPICS; EXERCISES IN THE ORBANIC CHEMISTRY LANORATORY OF DCB. STUDENTS FOLLOW 4 THREE HOURS EXERCISES, PREVIEWED BY A LECTURING LEARNING IN AULA. |

ACHIEVING THE OBJECTIVES OF TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH EVALUATION IN /30. THE EXAMINATION PROVIDES A WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN TEST IS PROPEDEUTIC TO THE ORAL TEST AND CONSISTED IN THE SOLUTION OF 3 EXERCISES AND 2 COMPOSITION ON THE TOP OF THE LEARNING PROGRAM. THE TEST IS PROVIDED FORWARD TO THE ORAL TEST AND CONSIDERED SUPERATIVE WITH THE REACH OF THE MINIMUM PERFORMANCE SCORE. THE WRITTEN TEST HAS A DURATION OF NONLESS THAN 120 MINUTES, AND IS FINALIZED TO VERIFY THE CAPACITY TO APPLY CORRECTLY TO THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE CAPACITY TO COMPLY WITH THE PROBLEMS PROPOSED.
