Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE BASIC CONCEPTS NECESSARY FOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, ANALYZED FROM A SYSTEMIC PERSPECTIVE AND IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND TECHNOLOGICAL CONTEXT, ILLUSTRATING THE MAIN MODELS FOR MANAGING MODERN BUSINESS PROCESSES AND THE MOST USED ANALYSIS TOOLS AND DECISION SUPPORT. THE COURSE AIMS TO DEEPEN IN PARTICULAR THE THEME OF MANAGEMENT AND THE ROLE OF BUSINESS MANAGERS. TO THIS END, THE COURSE WILL USE A SYSTEMIC APPROACH TO BUSINESS GOVERNANCE TO HAVE THE RIGHT VISION OF THE NEW DYNAMICS (ALSO RELATIONAL) THAT CHARACTERIZE COMPETITIVE ACTION. THE MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS FUNCTIONS WILL BE EXAMINED IN DEPTH TO HIGHLIGHT DIFFERENCES, PECULIARITIES, AND EVOLUTION. THE PREVALENT ORGANIZATIONAL MODELS AND THE TOOLS AVAILABLE TO TODAY'S MANAGERS FOR ANALYSIS, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, DECISION SUPPORT, AND INNOVATION MANAGEMENT WILL BE STUDIED. FINALLY, RECENT UPDATES IN TERMS OF SCM, TQM, AND CRM WILL BE ADDRESSED. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE TO ALL TYPES OF COMPANIES, BOTH PROFIT AND 'NOT FOR PROFIT'.

Teaching Methods

Verification of learning
THE EXAMS WILL BE HELD WITH AN ORAL INTERVIEW FOCUSED ON THE DEEPENING OF THE COURSE TOPICS AND TO THEIR UNDERSTANDING BY THE STUDENT. THE EVALUATION WILL BE IN THIRTIETHS.
THE MINIMUM (18), WHEN THE LEARNER PRESENTS A FRAGMENTARY KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE AND A POOR ABILITY TO CONTEXTUALIZE THEM.
THE MAXIMUM (30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND THE ABILITY TO OPERATE AUTONOMOUSLY THE CONCEPTUAL LINKS BETWEEN THEM.
PRAISE IS GIVEN WHEN THE LEARNER DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENT, ABILITY TO ARGUE WITH ADEQUATE LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND THE ABILITY TO CONTEXTUALIZE THEM EVEN IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER.
