Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROMOTE THE ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE RELATED TO SPORTS PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS, DEFINING THE METHODS AND MECHANISMS THAT DETERMINE ITS CONTROL AND LEARNING. THE AIM IS TO GUIDE THE STUDENT IN UNDERSTANDING THE MAIN THEORETICAL LINES UNDERLYING THE DIFFERENT METHODS OF ANALYZING PERFORMANCE VARIABLES IN VARIOUS SPORTS CONTEXTS, AS WELL AS IN INTRA- AND EXTRA-CORPOREAL RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTIONS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL:
- KNOW THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF SPORTS TRAINING CONSIDERING AGE, GENDER, AND ATHLETIC CONDITION;
- KNOW THE SPECIFIC LANGUAGE AND CONTEXTUALIZE IT APPROPRIATELY;
- KNOW AND RECOGNIZE THE ELEMENTS OF HUMAN MOVEMENT CONCERNING THE LEVEL OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS;
- CRITICALLY USE THE SCIENTIFIC MATERIAL DISCUSSED THROUGHOUT THE COURSE.

THE COURSE INTRODUCES THE STUDENT TO THE MAIN METHODS OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS, FOCUSING ON THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS:
- THE MEANING OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE;
- METHODS AND METHODOLOGIES FOR DIRECT AND INDIRECT OBSERVATION OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS;
- PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS IN THE SPORT-SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE MODEL;
- PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS IN RETURN TO SPORT.
Teaching Methods
TEACHING ACTIVITIES WILL BE ORGANIZED INTO INTERACTIVE FRONTAL LESSONS. GROUP WORK ACTIVITIES IN PROBLEM-POSING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING WILL BE PROVIDED TO DEVELOP INDIVIDUAL, RELATIONAL, AND COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS, AS WELL AS AUTONOMY IN ACTION AND JUDGMENT. THE ORGANIZATION OF THEMATIC SEMINARS WILL BE HELD.
Verification of learning
WRITTEN EXAM CONSISTING OF A MULTIPLE-CHOICE TEST LASTING 32 MINUTES AND COMPOSED OF 32 QUESTIONS. THE FINAL EVALUATION WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAM IS CONSIDERED PASSED WITH A SCORE GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 18; "CUM LAUDE" WILL BE AWARDED TO STUDENTS WHOSE FINAL SCORE EXCEEDS 30. MIDTERM OR PRE-SESSIONAL TEST (WRITTEN WORK) FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS MAY BE PLANNED.
