Carmen Bisogni Curriculum

Carmen Bisogni obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees cum laude in Mathematics from the University of Salerno in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In 2021, she earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering, receiving an Excellent evaluation, from the University of Salerno with a dissertation titled "Soft Biometrics: Emerging Traits and Applications." She held a Type B Research Fellowship at the Department of Computer Science from 2020 to 2023. In 2024, she was a research fellow and adjunct lecturer at the same department. Since October 2024, she is Assistant Professor (in Tenure Track), at the Department of Computer Science, University of Salerno. She obtained the National Scientific Habilitation to hold the position of Associate Professor in Computer Science in 2024.

Carmen Bisogni is the author of more than 45 indexed journal and conference papers with over 600 citations. She serves as an Associate Editor for international journals and has been a Guest Editor for several Special Issues and Workshops.

She is a member of the Biometrics and Image Processing Laboratory (BIPLab), the Context Aware Security Analytics Laboratory (CASALab), and the Computer Graphics Laboratory (CGLab). She is an IEEE Member and member of the Italian Association for Research in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Machine Learning.

Her research interests include computer vision, AI, biometrics, image processing, and misinformation detection.
