Objectives
THE COURSE SUPPORTS AND ENHANCES PREVIOUSLY ACQUIRED SKILLS. IT IS DESIGNED TO FURTHER DEVELOP THE STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF FRENCH LITERATURE, PROVIDING THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO GAIN DEEPER FRENCH DRAMA AND THEIR SOCIAL AND CULTURAL IMPLICATIONS. THROUGH THE STUDY OF DIFFERENT CRITICAL APPROACHES, STUDENTS APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE OF LITERATURE TO THE ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL EVENTS IN FRENCH SOCIETY.
Prerequisites
STUDENTS MUST HAVE PASSED THE FOLLOWING EXAMS: FRENCH LITERATURE 1, 2, 3; AND FRENCH LANGUAGE 1, 2, 3.

WHILE GAINING AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE STYLISTIC AND DRAMATURGICAL DEVICES USED BY THE AUTHORS, STUDENTS WILL ALSO DEVELOP ANALYTICAL AND CRITICAL THINKING ABOUT FRENCH DRAMA IN A CRUCIAL HISTORICAL MOMENT AND DISCUSS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEATRE, POLITICS AND SOCIETY.
