ALESSIA AURIEMMA CITARELLA | Curriculum

Alessia Auriemma Citarella graduated with honors in Biology from the University of Salerno in July 2017. She was subsequently awarded a research fellowship at the same university, where she contributed to the project "Methodologies, Visual Analysis, and Data Warehousing Techniques applied to Life Sciences".

She is currently a researcher at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Salerno, where she is involved in interdisciplinary projects focused on Big Data analytics in healthcare. Her research focuses on the design and development of predictive models and decision support systems for diagnostic applications, leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning techniques.

Her primary research interests include pattern recognition, protein and genomic Big Data analysis, information visualization, and the application of game theory models to the study of epidemiological trends. Her work finds application in various clinical fields, including oncology, neurology, cardiology, and diabetology, with the aim of supporting personalized medicine approaches.

She has authored scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings in the fields of artificial intelligence and biomedical data analytics. She participates in national and international research projects, with a focus on digital health and data-driven medicine.
