THE CLASS OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND HUMAN PATHOLOGY TAKES PLACE DURING THE SECOND SEMESTER OF THE FIRST YEAR. IT IS DIVIDED INTO 4 MODULES: GENERAL PATHOLOGY WITH 2 CFU, PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY WITH 2 CFU, INTERNAL MEDICINE WITH 1 CFU, METHODS WITH 1 CFU, FOR A TOTAL OF 72 HOURS OF LESSONS. THE COURSE AIMS AT FACILITATING THE ACQUISITION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE REGARDING GENERAL PATHOLOGY, PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY, INTERNAL MEDICINE AND CLINICAL METHODOLOGIES. IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC ELEMENTS, ASPECTS RELATED TO DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING WILL BE ALSO DISCUSSED. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - KNOWLEDGE OF GENERAL PATHOLOGY - KNOWLEDGE OF PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY - KNOWLEDGE OF INTERNAL MEDICINE - KNOWLEDGE OF CLINICAL METHODOLOGIES ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE MAIN ASPECTS OF THE GENERAL PATHOLOGY - ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE MAIN ASPECTS OF PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY - ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE MAIN ASPECTS OF INTERNAL MEDICINE AND CLINICAL METHODOLOGIES TRANSVERSAL SKILLS - ABILITY TO UPDATE THROUGH BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS. - ABILITY TO LINK THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING. |
Prerequisites | |

THE CLASS INCLUDES ON-SITE LESSONS FOR A TOTAL TIME OF 72 HOURS. ATTENDANCE OF CLASSROOM LECTURES AND LABORATORY EXERCISES IS MANDATORY. IN ORDER TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST HAVE ATTENDED AT LEAST 75% OF THE TEACHING HOURS. ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION WILL BE EXPLAINED BY THE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TEACHING SEMESTER. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY A FINAL EXAM WITH AN EVALUATION OUT OF THIRTY. THE FINAL EXAMINATION HAS THE PURPOSE TO VERIFY THE ABILITY TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND, THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE SKILLS ACQUIRED, THE ABILITY TO SHOW, AND THE ABILITY TO LEARN AND DEVELOP SOLUTIONS IN INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT. THE TEACHERS INVOLVED IN THE TEACHING CLASS THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER PARTICIPATE IN THE OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF THE STUDENT'S ACHIEVEMENT. |
