THE LESSONS AIM TO CRITICALLY ADDRESS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EDUCATION, SOCIETY AND POLITICS IN ORDER TO PROMOTE, ALSO BY THE MEANS OF THE EPISTEMOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK OF THE DISCIPLINE, A VISION OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY AS A PRACTICAL SCIENCE THAT LEADS TO ANALYZE AND PROBLEMATIZE THE CONDITIONS (FREEDOM, RESPONSIBILITY, COEXISTENCE, DEMOCRACY, LEGALITY, ETC.) THAT PROMOTE A GOOD SOCIAL LIFE. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO KNOW AND ANALYSE THE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF SOCIETY THROUGH THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED TO ANALYSE AND INTERPRET SOCIAL CONTEXTS; TO KNOW HOW TO EVALUATE, MONITOR, DESIGN AND VERIFY IN SOCIAL CONTEXTS; TO BE ABLE TO APPLY INDEPENDENTLY AND CRITICALLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED THROUGH THE THEORY-PRACTICE PARADIGM. |

THE COURSE AIMS TO DEEPEN THE THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL NODES OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY THROUGH A HISTORICAL-EPISTEMOLOGICAL AND THEMATIC PATH. A PARTICULAR FOCUS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SOCIAL PEDAGOGY AND THE PEDAGOGY OF EMANCIPATION OF THE GERMAN PEDAGOGUE KLAUS MOLLENHAUER, CONSIDERED A FUNDAMENTAL AUTHOR OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY SOCIAL PEDAGOGY. THE LECTURES WILL COVER, IN PARTICULAR: - THE EPISTEMOLOGICAL STATUS OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY: THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES - 4H - RESEARCH METHODS AND INTERVENTION METHODS OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO AESTHETIC EDUCATION - 4 H - EDUCATION FOR COEXISTENCE AND DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP: SOCIAL SKILLS, COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS, GOALS AND VALUES - 4 H - SOCIAL PEDAGOGY AS AN EMERGENCY IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY - 8 H - POLITICAL DIMENSION OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ELEMENTS, PLACES AND FORMS OF POLITICAL EDUCATION - 8 H - EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN FORMAL EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS, PRIMARY PLACES OF SOCIALIZATION: FAMILY, SCHOOL - 8 H |

THE TEACHING INVOLVES LECTURES THAT TAKE PLACE IN THE CLASSROOM WITH THE AID OF PROJECTIONS AND SELECTED READINGS, DURING WHICH THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS IS ENSURED BY MOMENTS DEDICATED TO THE DISCUSSION AND DEEPENING OF THE TOPICS COVERED. |
Verification of learning | |

THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAMINATION WITH A SCORE IN THIRTY. THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN ORAL TEST, WHICH CONSISTS IN A DISCUSSION AIMED AT VERIFYING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REACHED BY THE STUDENT ABOUT THE CONTENTS OF THE TEACHING, TOGETHER WITH THE ABILITY TO SPEAK THEM WITH APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE. THE AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO REACH THE MAXIMUM MARK OF 30/30 AND DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED INDEPENDENTLY AND IN AN ORIGINAL WAY. |
