KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING HISTORY OF MEDICINE MODULE: TO GET THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE CRITICAL AWARENESS OF THE PATH OF MEDICAL THOUGHT OVER THE CENTURIES AND THE STUDY OF THE EXPERIMENTAL METHOD THAT CHARACTERIZES MODERN MEDICAL SCIENCE. TEACHING AND SPECIAL PEDAGOGY MODULE: THE COURSE TENDS TO OFFER ELEMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE AND ACQUISITION OF METHODOLOGIES TO PROMOTE AN APPROACH CLINICAL AND RELATIONSHIP HELP IN CASES OF DISABILITY. THE CLINICAL ASPECT, AS AN INTEGRATING AND FUNDAMENTAL FACTOR OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES, IT REPRESENTS THE COMPLEMENTARY NECESSARY CONDITION FOR THE INTERVENTION INDIVIDUALIZED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS. GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY MODULE: KNOW THE OBJECT OF STUDY, THE RESEARCH AREAS OF GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY KNOW THE DYNAMICS AND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF SENTO PROFESSIONS INDIVIDUALIZED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS. INFORMATICS MODULE: THE STUDENT WILL UNDERSTAND THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURES OF COMPUTERS AND COMPUTER NETWORKS. THESE SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE BASIC EDUCATION OF A FUTURE GRADUATE IN DENTISTRY. IN PARTICULAR, THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN GENERAL PURPOSE SOFTWARE TOOLS, AS WELL AS THE BASIC AND ADVANCED FUNCTIONS OF ELECTRONIC SPREADSHEETS AS A TOOL FOR DATA ANALYSIS AND PROCESSING, WITH A PARTICULAR INTEREST IN GRAPHIC REPRESENTATIONS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO CRITICALLY UNDERSTAND THE LIMITS OF VALIDITY AND APPLICABILITY OF SUCH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TOOLS ALSO IN REAL CONTEXTS, BY ASSESSING ANY EXISTING ALTERNATIVE. THE COURSE WILL DEAL WITH BIOETHICS AS A SCIENCE AIMED AT MODULATING, REGULATING AND OPTIMIZING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE OF DENTISTRY AND CLINICAL PRACTICE ACCORDING TO A VISION THAT STARTS FROM SCIENTIFIC DATA AND REACHES THE ETHICAL AND REGULATORY ASPECT. AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO: FRAMEWORK THE ETHICAL PROBLEMS INHERENT TO DENTAL SCIENCES; USE THE METHOD OF RATIONAL ARGUMENTATION IN THEIR SOLUTION. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND ABILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS TO NEW OR UNFAMILIAR TOPICS, PLACED IN LARGER (OR INTERDISCIPLINARY) CONTEXTS RELATED TO THEIR OWN FIELD OF STUDY. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO APPLY THEIR KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS TO NEW OR UNFAMILIAR TOPICS, INSERTED IN BROADER (OR INTERDISCIPLINARY) CONTEXTS RELATED TO THEIR FIELD OF STUDY. MAKING JUDGEMENTS STUDENTS MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO INTEGRATE KNOWLEDGE AND MANAGE COMPLEXITY, AS WELL AS TO MAKE JUDGMENTS BASED ON LIMITED OR INCOMPLETE INFORMATION, INCLUDING REFLECTION ON THE SOCIAL AND ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE APPLICATION OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND JUDGMENTS. COMMUNICATION SKILLS STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE THEIR CONCLUSIONS, AS WELL AS THE KNOWLEDGE AND RATIONALE UNDERLYING THEM, TO SPECIALIST AND NON-SPECIALIST INTERLOCUTORS IN A CLEAR AND UNAMBIGUOUS WAY. |
