EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES PEDIATRICS-CHILD NEUROPSYCHIATRY-PEDIATRIC SURGERY AT THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENT SHOULD HAVE ACQUIRED THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE STATUS OF HEALTH AND ILLNESS OF NEWBORNS, CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS AS PER THE COMPETENCE OF THE NON-SPECIAL DOCTOR AND THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE CONDITIONS THAT NEED OF THE INTERVENTION OF THE PEDIATRIC SPECIALIST, PEDIATRIC SURGEON AND CHILD NEUROPSYCHIATRIST. IN PARTICULAR, THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO PERFORM THE CLINICAL REASONING THAT LEADS TO THE DIAGNOSIS, WITH THE CORRECT USE OF THE MOST COMMON INSTRUMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS. THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO LECTURES, CLASSROOM EXERCISES AND GROUP WORK. THE LECTURES WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE OF PATHOPHYSIOLOGY AND THERAPEUTIC APPROACH OF THE MAIN CLINICAL CONDITIONS. THE EXERCISES WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE IN DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AND IN THE MEDICAL-PATIENT APPROACH. THE TEACHING ALSO INCLUDES THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL/GROUP WORK AIMED AT ACQUIRING THE SKILLS OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS AND SCIENTIFIC STUDY. THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PAPER WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH THE CLASS INDIVIDUALLY WITH THE STUDENT DURING THE TEACHER'S OFFICE HOURS. |

THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW WITH QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION ON THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS INDICATED IN THE TEACHING PROGRAM AND IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF UNDERSTANDING GAINED BY THE STUDENT, AS WELL AS TO VERIFY THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO ORGANIZE AND EXPOSE THE SAME ARGUMENTS WITH THEORETICAL CONTENT. THE SCORE OF THE ORAL TEST DEPENDS ON THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY PRESENT THE CONTENTS AND CRITICALLY DISCUSS THE TOPICS ILLUSTRATED. THE SCORE OF THE ORAL EXAM IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE STUDENT'S THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE. THE MINIMUM SCORE IN THE ORAL EXAM REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF THE ASSESSMENT OF THE HEALTH STATUS OF THE CHILD AND NEWBORN AND APPROACH TO DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS. THE MAXIMUM MARK IS ACHIEVED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY ILLUSTRATE AND DISCUSS THE THEMES OF THE THERAPEUTIC APPROACH. EXCELLENCE REQUIRES DEMONSTRATING IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF EVEN THE RAREST CONDITIONS. |
