Objectives
General Objective
The course aims to develop the student's ability to:

Design and intervene operationally in complex care and organizational problems to build a system of care standards and professional competence.

Understand the planning, management, and evaluation principles of nursing care in hospital settings and across various medical specialties.

Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to:

Identify the needs of pediatric and maternal-infant nursing care and formulate appropriate objectives to plan, conduct, and evaluate nursing interventions in these areas;

Understand the principles of pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, and the management of drugs and healthcare technologies.

Applying Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to:

Ensure the correct application of diagnostic and therapeutic prescriptions;

Identify the needs of pediatric and maternal-infant nursing care and formulate appropriate objectives to plan, conduct, and evaluate nursing interventions in these areas;

Understand the principles of pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, and the management of drugs and healthcare technologies.

Teaching Methods
THE SOURSE IS STRUCTURED IN FRONTAL LESSONS (56 HOURS) AND PRACTICAL EXERCISES (14 HOURS). FRONTAL LESSONS WILL GIVE THE STUDENT THE BASIS FOR AN EFFICIENT APPROACH TO THE MAIN MEDICAL, SURGICAL, GYNECOLOGICAL AND PEDIATRIC EMERGENCIES. PRACTICAL EXERCISES WILL BE FINALISED TO DEVELOP AN ADEQUATE METHODOLOGY AND A CORRECT APPLICATION OF PROBLEM-SOLVING
Verification of learning
THE FINAL EXAM WILL BE ORAL AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY WITH THE TEACHERS OF THE COURSE. THE EXAM WILL EVALUATE GLOBALLY THE CAPACITY OF THE STUDENT TO DEAL WITH THE MAJOR MEDICAL AND SURGICAL EMERGENCIES. THE FINAL GRADE IS IN THIRTIETHS. THE LAUDE WILL BE ASSIGNED TO STUDENTS THAT WILL REACH FULL OPTIMAL EVALUATION WITH ALL THE COURSE'S TEACHERS
