Objectives
The course aims to provide
a qualified philological, critical, historical-literary competence through the study of literary texts in the German language;
advanced methodological tools in the linguistic analysis of texts of German literature and in the reflection on certain aspects of literary and cultural theories;
an in-depth familiarity with different literary languages and their specificity;
a heightened awareness of the cultural realities of German-speaking countries.
The student will
will know advanced disciplinary methodologies of the study of German literature from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives.
Will understand literary and cultural theories of Germanistic research.
The student will be able to
understand the literary text in German in the specificity of its language
apply literary methods and theories in the analysis of literary texts
evaluate the contribution of the literary text to the specific stage of literary history and cultural history
The student will be able to
recognize different types of texts, analyze and describe their structure
identify suitable methodologies for the analysis of literary texts
formulate hypotheses, recognize logical connections, argue, compare and evaluate literary texts
critically describe historical events and literary products by identifying their complex interactions.
The student will be able to
represent and communicate, by means of texts or virtual tools, results of their own research or processing.
Formulate critical commentary on the basis of analyzing the structure of different types of texts
The student will be able to
independently use traditional bibliographical tools and computer resources for analysis and archiving;
handle problems related to the reception and dissemination of literary products in the German language; and
autonomously carry out research activities, understand and interpret complex texts, whether publicist or literary;
independently apply criteria and critical methodologies appropriate to different text texts.
