Objectives | |

PROVIDE IN-DEPTH AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE ON DISCIPLINE, ESPECIALLY WITH REGARD TO MEDIEVAL INSTITUTIONS. STARTING FROM THE METHODOLOGICAL AND PHILOLOGICAL PREMISE INDISPENSABLE FOR THE STUDY OF THE MIDDLE AGES, WE WILL PROPOSE A READING OF HISTORICAL EVENTS THAT UNITE THE STORY OF FACTS WITH THAT OF IDEAS, SEARCHING FOR MODELS AND SOLUTIONS USEFUL AT ONE TIME TO GRASP THE "SPIRIT" OF THE MIDDLE AGES AND TO ACQUIRE USEFUL READING KEYS FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF CONTEMPORANEITY. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO COME TO A FAIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE HISTORICAL PROCESS OF CONSTITUTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUNDAMENTAL MOMENTS OF THE MEDIEVAL HISTORY, WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE MAIN ITALIAN INSTITUTIONS AND WITH A FOCUS ON SOUTHERN ITALY. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING USE THE KNOWLEDGE AND METHODOLOGY ACQUIRED TO INTERPRET THE VARIOUS FORMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE POLITICAL-ECONOMIC-SOCIAL-CULTURAL-INSTITUTIONAL COMPONENTS OF THE MIDDLE AGES IN THE FOLLOWING CONTEXTS OF STUDY, TEACHING OR RESEARCH, PARTICULARLY AS REGARDS THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND TIMES, PLACES AND MODES OF PRODUCTION OF MEDIEVAL DOCUMENTATION AND, CONSEQUENTLY, TO BE ABLE TO MOVE EASILY IN THE HISTORICAL DYNAMICS THAT HAVE LED TO ITS PRESERVATION. |

ORAL EXAMINATION DURING THE EXAMINATION WILL BE VERIFIED: - GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL MOMENTS OF THE HISTORY OF MEDIEVAL INSTITUTIONS AND THE PROCESSES THAT HAVE LED TO THEIR EVOLUTION - THE ABILITY TO EXPRESS ITSELF CLEARLY USING A CORRECT AND APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE, DEMONSTRATING A GOOD MASTERY OF THE SPECIFIC VOCABULARY OF THE DISCIPLINE - THE ABILITY TO ORGANIZE AN ARTICULATED AND PERTINENT SPEECH ON THE TOPICS PROPOSED, SELECTING THE MOST RELEVANT ASPECTS AND CONTEXTUALIZING THEM IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT OF HISTORICAL AND INSTITUTIONAL REFERENCES. |
