THE TEACHING AIMS TO TRAIN PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE CAPABLE OF OPERATING IN THE FIELD OF WATER SUPPLY AND SOIL CONSERVATION. THE TEACHING WILL PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR UNDERSTANDING THE OPERATION OF THE MAIN WATER SYSTEMS. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE TEACHING IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE AND MASTERY OF HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING, TO BE ACQUIRED THROUGH THE STUDY OF TEXTBOOKS AND SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS AND TROUGH PRACTICAL EXAMPLES. IN PARTICULAR, WE ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: - CHARACTERISTICS OF WATER RESOURCES AND THE CRITERIA FOR THEIR USE. - DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF WATER SYSTEMS - ESTIMATION OF EXTREME RAINFALL EVENTS. - DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF SEWAGES, - MANAGEMENT OF FLOOD RISKS ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TO ISSUES RELATED TO HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING IN ORDER TO SOLVE PROBLEMS WITHIN MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES AND TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT INNOVATIVE AND ORIGINAL APPROACHES. IN PARTICULAR: - ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE APPROACH DEPENDING ON THE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXT. - ABILITY TO DESIGN THE MAIN HYDRAULIC WORKS AND VERIFY PROPER OPERATION. - ACQUISITION OF METHODOLOGIES AND TOOLS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF WATER SYSTEMS. JUDGEMENT DEVELOPMENT OF AN ORIGINAL AND AUTONOMOUS VIEW POINT ESPECIALLY WITH REGARD TO ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL ISSUES.. COMMUNICATION SKILLS ABILITY TO DEVELOP A PROFESSIONAL-TECHNICAL TEXT.
