KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE COURSE PROVIDES THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE GENERAL AND INORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND THE CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY FUNCTIONAL TO THE STUDY OF BIOCHEMISTRY. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE BASIC CHEMICAL LAWS, TO RECOGNIZE THE PROPERTIES OF MAJOR CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS, DESCRIBE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRINCIPAL CLASSES OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS. AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO ASSESS AND SOLVE PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE CONTENTS OF THE COURSE. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS WITH OTHERS AND WORKING IN THE GROUP.
