The course aims to deepen the students' knowledge thanks to the study of practical cases both in the public administration and in the industry. Knowledge and understanding Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have knowledge and understanding of: • The typical problems (with particular attention to security) deriving from the use of cloud systems in the public administration and the related solutions and best practices; • issues that do not favor the use of the cloud, especially in public administration; • the typical problems (with particular attention to security) deriving from the use of cloud systems in the industry and the related solutions and best practices; • the opportunities and benefits in using the use of the cloud in the PA and in industry. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: • identify and apply specific solutions suitable for the public administration; • identify and apply specific solutions suitable for the industry. Making judgements After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: • think critically and question design and implementation choices; • develop autonomous and independent reasoning and reflections taking into account regulatory references, standards and ethical considerations; • critically evaluate positive and negative aspects of solutions Communication skills After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: • work in a group with adequate relational and decision-making skills; • communicate clearly and effectively, in written and oral form, to convey knowledge, ideas, problems, solutions and the underlying rationale, adapting the methods of expression to the cultural and professional characteristics of the recipients of the communication Learning skills After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: organize their ideas in a critical and systematic way. |

Teaching Methods | |
---|---|
THE COURSE WILL BE ORGANIZED WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF EXPERTS FROM PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND COMPANIES. THE MAIN TEACHING METHODOLOGIES ARE: PARTICIPATORY LECTURES: STRUCTURED PRESENTATIONS BY THE INSTRUCTOR TO INTRODUCE FUNDAMENTAL THEORETICAL CONCEPTS AND PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK FOR CASE STUDY ANALYSIS. SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS: INTERACTIVE SESSIONS WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS, WHICH MAY INCLUDE PRESENTATIONS, PRACTICAL EXERCISES, AND GROUP DISCUSSIONS. THESE SESSIONS OFFER A PRACTICAL AND UPDATED PERSPECTIVE ON CURRENT ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS, STIMULATING ACTIVE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT. CASE STUDY ANALYSIS AND GUIDED DISCUSSIONS: DETAILED EXAMINATION OF REAL CASE STUDIES FROM PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND INDUSTRY, WITH STRUCTURED DISCUSSIONS LED BY THE INSTRUCTOR, ENCOURAGING STUDENTS TO SHARE THEIR OPINIONS AND CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CASE STUDIES DISCUSSED. GROUP WORK: STUDENTS WORK IN GROUPS TO ANALYZE A CASE STUDY, DEVELOP SOLUTIONS, AND PRESENT THEIR FINDINGS. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE EXAM CONSISTS OF THE COMPLETION OF A GROUP PROJECT AND ITS DISCUSSION, AS WELL AS THE COMPLETION OF A WRITTEN TEST. THE GRADE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE AVERAGE OF THE EVALUATIONS ASSIGNED TO THE PROJECT, ITS DISCUSSION, AND THE WRITTEN TEST. TWO BONUS POINTS ARE AWARDED FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN CLASS. WRITTEN TEST: A SERIES OF OPEN-ENDED AND/OR CLOSED-ENDED QUESTIONS TO ASSESS THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE CASE STUDIES AND APPLY BEST PRACTICES DISCUSSED DURING THE COURSE. GROUP PROJECT: STUDENTS WILL PREPARE A DETAILED REPORT ON A SPECIFIC CASE STUDY, ANALYZING ISSUES, ADOPTED SOLUTIONS, AND OUTCOMES ACHIEVED. THEY WILL ALSO PRESENT THE PROJECT. EVALUATION WILL FOCUS ON ANALYTICAL SKILLS, COMMUNICATION ABILITIES, INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION, AND TEAMWORK CAPABILITIES. |
