THE COURSE INTRODUCES STUDENTS TO THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS RELATED TO INFORMATICS EDUCATION AND TO THE METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES FOR DESIGNING DISCIPLINARY COURSES FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOL. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL HAVE: •AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE FUNDAMENTAL PEDAGOGICAL ASPECTS AND LEARNING THEORIES, WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE COMPUTER SCIENCE FIELD •AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATIONAL GUIDELINES AND INDICATIONS OF THE CURRICULA IN INFORMATICS •UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAIN EXISTING APPROACHES AND PRINCIPLES FOR EDUCATION • AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES RELATED TO THE CHOICE OF THE FIRST PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE AND INTRODUCTORY COMPUTER SCIENCE COURSES •AWARENESS OF THE PROBLEMS AND APPROACHES RELATED TO THE VERIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING •AWARENESS OF THE MAIN ISSUES RELATED TO GENDER DIVERSITY APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING BE ABLE TO DEVELOP A COURSE AND RELATED RESOURCES TO ALLOWS STUDENTS TO ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN THE COMPUTER SCIENCE FIELD. |

PARALLELISM BETWEEN COMPUTER SCIENCE METHODOLOGIES AND EDUCATIONAL METHODS: USE OF PROJECTS AS TEACHING METHODOLOGY, AGILE APPROACHES, SCRUM, ACTIVE AND COOPERATIVES METHODOLOGIES (FLIPPED CLASSROOM, EDUSCRUM), PEER REVIEW. ALGORITHM VISUALIZATION AND ANIMATION TECHNIQUES. EDUCATIONAL GAMES FOR INFORMATICS. USE OF THE HISTORY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AS AN EDUCATIONAL METHODOLOGY. (10 HOURS) B) METHODOLOGIES AND TEACHING TECHNOLOGIES CONCERNING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CURRENT SOCIETY (SPECIAL FOCUS ON ETHICAL ASPECTS). GENDER DIVERSITY: PROBLEMS AND INITIATIVES. (6 HOURS) C) COMPUTER SCIENCE IN THE SCHOOL: ACCESS REQUIREMENTS, NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INDICATIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTIONS. COMPUTER SCIENCE CURRICULA STANDARDS. GUIDELINES AND PRINCIPLES FOR MEANINGFUL LEARNING. ISSUES AND GUIDELINES FOR PLANNING A COURSE, A LESSON, TEACHING MATERIALS, LEARNING VERIFICATION. (14 HOURS) D) INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE: COMPUTER SCIENCE / COMPUTER SCIENCE AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES. COMPUTATIONAL THINKING. (6 HOURS) E) ISSUES RELATED TO THE INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAMMING. MISCONCEPTIONS. VISUAL PROGRAMMING. PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND PROGRAMMING PARADIGMS, PROBLEM SOLVING STRATEGIES. (12 HOURS) |

ACTIVE LEARNING METHODOLOGIES THAT WILL LET THE LEARNERS TO EXPLORE THE SUBJECTS. STUDENTS, WORKING IN A GROUP, WILL REALIZE LEARNING PATHS. THEY WILL USE COOPERATIVE LEARNING STRATEGIES, FLIPPED CLASSROOM AND TEACH ONE ANOTHER. |
Verification of learning | |

LEARNING ASSESSMENT WILL BE BASED ON THE EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT AND ITS PRESENTATION. THE AIM OF THE PROJECT WILL BE TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE. THE PROJECT WILL BE EVALUATED TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE COMPLETENESS, CORRECTNESS AND CONSISTENCY OF THE PROPOSED MATERIAL WITH RESPECT TO THE OBJECTIVES. THE PURPOSE OF THE PRESENTATION WILL BE TO EVALUATE THE ABILITY TO TRANSFER THE CONTENT AND ARGUE THE CHOICES MADE. THE FINAL EVALUATION WILL BE GIVEN BY THE AVERAGE OF THE EVALUATIONS (BOTH EXPRESSED IN THIRTY) WITH THE ADDITION OF BONUS POINTS (UP TO 3) FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION DURING THE COURSE (CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS ON THE PROJECTS). |
