Curriculum Docente

Alfonso Siano is Chair and Full Professor of Marketing and of Corporate Communication and Brand Management.

He served as "Delegato del Rettore" for communication activities of the University of Salerno (from 2002 until 2016).

He is Scientific Director of the Laboratory and Observatory on Sustainability Communication (Lab_Os CS), University of Salerno.

He is member of the Società Italiana di Marketing (SIM) and Società Italiana di Management (SIMA).

He was previously Lecturer and Researcher in Management at Sapienza University of Rome. He worked previously at Planning Department of the Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale (IRI), in Rome.

His primary research interests: corporate communications and reputation, strategic marketing and marketing communications, brand management, CSR and sustainability communication, arts and heritage marketing and museum marketing.

His research on these topics has been published in Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Tourism Research, Sustainability, Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Journal of Marketing Communications, Journal of Brand Management, Qualitative Market Research: An International Journal, International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development, International Studies of Management and Organization, International Business Research, Journal of Communication Management, International Journal of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research, International Journal of Electronic Customer Relationship Management, Journal of Marketing Analytics, International Journal of Electronic Marketing and Retailing, Sinergie Italian Journal of Management, Mercati & Competitività. The Journal of the Italian Marketing Association, Micro & Macro Marketing, Museum Management and Curatorship, Il Capitale Culturale. Studies on the value of cultural heritage, and other outlets. He published over 60 papers in academic journals, over 30 chapters in books. He edited 6 volumes and co-edited two books.

He currently serves on the Editorial Boards and he is a reviewer of Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Journal of Marketing Communications, and Mercati & Competitività. He is Associate Editor of Sinergie Italian Journal of Management. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the journal Micro & Macro Marketing.

He also has served as a reviewer for European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Cleaner Production, Sinergie Italian Journal of Management, Micro & Macro Marketing, and Il Capitale Culturale.

He has been Scientific Supervisor and Project Manager of research projects funded by the European Union (EU).
