Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE CONCISE AND SUITED TO APPLICATIONS, THE PRINCIPAL MATHEMATICAL TOOLS NEEDED TO STUDY PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES AND FOR APPLICATIONS IN THE BIOLOGICAL FIELD.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO MAKE THE STUDENT ABLE TO ASSIMILATE THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. IN ADDITION, THROUGH MATHEMATICAL TOOLS, THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO DESCRIBE AN "IDEAL MODEL" OF A PHENOMENON BY ANALYZING THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE DATA.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS: STUDENTS ARE GUIDED LEARN CRITICALLY AND RESPONSIBLE THAT IS EXPLAINED TO THEM AND IMPROVE THEIR JUDGEMENT SKILLS THROUGH THE STUDY OF TEACHING MATERIALS.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: THIS COURSE WILL HELP THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO CLEARLY EXPOSE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED.
LEARNING SKILLS: THE COURSE WILL GUIDE STUDENTS TOWARD DEVELOPING THOSE CAPABILITIES NECESSARY TO ENRICH LEARNING ON THEIR OWN SKILLS AND TO APPLY THESE SKILLS TO OTHER TEACHINGS OF THE COURSE OF STUDY.
Prerequisites
KNOWLEDGE GAINED IN COURSES FROM HIGH SCHOOL. IN PARTICULAR, IT REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE OF ELEMENTARY ALGEBRA, TRIGONOMETRY, SOLUTION METHODS OF EQUATIONS AND INEQUALITIES OF FIRST AND SECOND INSTANCE.
