THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE A SOUND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MATHEMATICAL PRINCIPLES THAT UNDERPIN OTHER PERTINENT DISCIPLINES, NAMELY, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS AND BIOLOGY. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE CONCISE AND SUITED TO APPLICATIONS, THE PRINCIPAL MATHEMATICAL TOOLS NEEDED TO STUDY PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL DISCIPLINES AND FOR APPLICATIONS IN THE BIOLOGICAL FIELD. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO MAKE THE STUDENT ABLE TO ASSIMILATE THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. IN ADDITION, THROUGH MATHEMATICAL TOOLS, THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO DESCRIBE AN "IDEAL MODEL" OF A PHENOMENON BY ANALYZING THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE DATA. |

IN PARTICULAR, ON THE BASIS OF METHODOLOGIES, TOOLS AND CONTENT TAUGHT IN CLASS, THE STUDENTS MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO: UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM, FIND THE CORRECT MATHEMATICAL AND QUANTITATIVE INTERPRETATION, RECOGNIZING THE APPLICABLE METHODOLOGIES, DEVELOP THE CALCULATION CONTEXT APPROPRIATE, INCLUDE ANSWERS DEDUCED FROM THE METHOD AND ITS INFERENCES. |
