GENERAL OBJECTIVES TO LEARN BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE STATICS AND KINEMATICS OF BODIES. LEARN HOW TO APPROACH THE STUDY OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES DETERMINED BOTH STATICALLY AND KINEMATICALLY. ACQUIRE SKILLS RELATING TO THE STUDY OF CONSTRAINT REACTIONS, THE DRAWING OF DIAGRAMS OF INTERNAL STRESS CHARACTERISTICS. ACQUIRE SKILLS RELATING TO THE STUDY OF KINEMATICS IN SMALL AND LARGE DISPLACEMENTS. KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS TO KNOW IN GENERAL THE STATIC PROBLEM AND KINEMATIC PROBLEM FOR BEAM SYSTEMS. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING MASTER THE METHODS OF ANALYSING BEAM SYSTEMS DETERMINED BOTH STATICALLY AND KINEMATICALLY IN SMALL DISPLACEMENTS. AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY, THANKS TO THE BASIC CONCEPTS ACQUIRED, THE PROPERTIES OF THE MOST COMMON PROBLEMS RELATING TO THE STATICS OF BEAM SYSTEMS. COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO PRESENT THE PROPERTIES OF ANY PROBLEM INHERENT TO THE STATICS OF SYSTEMS OF BEAMS. LEARNING SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN CONTEXTS OTHER THAN THOSE PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE TO DEAL WITH SITUATIONS OF GREATER COMPLEXITY. |

THE COURSE INCLUDES THEORETICAL LESSONS AND EXERCISES. THE CREDITS OF THE THEORETICAL LESSONS ARE EQUAL TO 4, AND THE CREDITS OF THE PRACTICAL LESSONS ARE EQUAL TO 2. THERE IS AN OBLIGATION TO ATTEND WITH A MINIMUM ATTENDANCE OF 70% OF THE HOURS OF ACTIVITY TEACHING (AS PER THE TEACHING REGULATIONS OF THE CDS). THE TEACHER WILL VERIFY ACHIEVEMENT OF THE PERCENTAGE OF ATTENDANCE REQUESTED THROUGH ELECTRONIC SURVEY. |

AT THE END OF THE TEACHING, IT IS THERE IS AN EXAM CONSISTING OF A WRITTEN TEST APPLICATION AND AN ORAL INTERVIEW. THE WRITTEN TEST LASTS 3 OR 4 HOURS, DEPENDING OF THE ASSIGNED EXERCISES. THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW WHICH FIRST INVOLVES THE DISCUSSION OF THE EXERCISES CARRIED OUT DURING THE WRITTEN TEST AND SUBSEQUENTLY QUESTIONS ON THE THEORETICAL PART OF THE COURSE. DURING THE INTERVIEW, THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT HE HAS UNDERSTOOD AND HAVE CONTROL OF THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF STATICS. THE MINIMUM EVALUATION LEVEL (18/30) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES UNCERTAINTY IN THE APPLICATION OF THE PROPOSED METHODS AND PROCEDURES, AND HAS LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF ONLY THE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF THE TOPICS COVERED. THE MAXIMUM EVALUATION LEVEL (30/30) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROPOSED METHODS AND PROCEDURES, AND IS IN ABLE TO SOLVE ASSIGNED PROBLEMS BY EFFICIENTLY AND ACCURATELY REACHING THEIR RESOLUTION SOLUTION. TO ACHIEVE HONORS, THE FOLLOWING WILL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT: - THE QUALITY OF THE PRESENTATION, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF TECHNICAL/SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE APPROPRIATE; - THE ABILITY TO CROSS-CORRELATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES; - DEMONSTRATED AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT. |
