Fabio POSTIGLIONE Curriculum

Fabio Postiglione received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Electronics Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from University of Salerno, Italy. He is currently an Associate Professor of Statistics (SECS-S/02), Dept. of Information and Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM), University of Salerno. He holds different courses on Statistics, Reliability and Data Analysis, and in the past also courses of Design of Experiments and Data Analysis and Signal Processing.

In the past, from 1999 to July 2000, he held a Research Fellowship at University of Sannio; from July 2000 to April 2002, he worked as a research engineer at Tin.it R&D Dept. (Telecom Italia Group).
His main research interests include reliability theory, Bayesian statistics, availability of technological systems, stochastic processes, statistical learning, data science; in the past, also telecommunication systems and gravitational waves data analysis. He is/has been involved in many European (FP7, H2020) and Italian research projects, i.e., GENIUS, DESIGN, DIAMOND, INSIGHT, AD ASTRA, WISCH, SFIDA, EVO-SMART, PRESTO.
prof. Postiglione is/was member of the Editorial Board of "Electronics" (MDPI), from 2019, "Analytics" (MDPI), from 2022, and "The Scientific World Journal" (Hindawi), from 2012 to 2017, and he was also involved in the Technical Program Committees of many international symposia, and was a member of the Organizing Committee of the Euro-FGI Annual Plenary Meeting 2008. He serves as referee for some international journals on statistics, reliability and telecommunications. He is member of Italian Statistical Society (SIS), the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS), the LIGO-VIRGO Scientific Collaboration (LVC), the Italian National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) and past member of the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). He is the (co-)author of more than 120 papers, published in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings, and 1 European Patent.
