Luigi FREZZA Curriculum
LUIGI FREZZA (he signs Gino Frezza in his publications) is professor of Sociology of cultural processes at the University of Salerno. His studies are dedicated to productive, espressive and technological relations among different audiovisual medias (cinema, comics, tv). Essays and works published deal with italian and american cultural industry themes and problems considering both innovations incurred cultural traditions and patrimonies among the different historical phases of media and communication technologies, and the complex communicative interactions between users and media systems. - many essays in rewiews or volumes edited by national and international editors dealing with problems and sets provoked by the coming of digital in cinema and tv, and with the inventory of images and with the expressive procedure reformulated for the effects of increasing tecnological convergence.
He made researchs on his own and in collaboration about: processes of serial production in Italy and in America, between cinema and tv; about fiction crisis and TV writing in Italy from the 80' until today; he is responsable of national reasearch substained by MIUR on the digital satellite network of mediterranean countries and on the implementation of terrestrial digital television in Italy and France; on mediological archives and cultural net-memories. Since 1975 until today he has been taking part as rapporteur to many national and international congresses about different communication themes.
