Ornella MOLTEDO Curriculum
The Dr. Ornella Moltedo graduated in Pharmacy in 1987 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples "Federico II" and in the same year she obtained the qualification to practice the profession of Pharmacist. In 1991participation in the research activity, Department of Biochemistry and Medical Biotechnology, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Naples Federico II. Aspects of heavy metal homeostasis, absorption and transport of zinc in polarized intestinal cells. From 1993 to 1996 guest researcher, Institute of Biochemistry and Enzymology C.N.R. Naples, Department of Cellular and Developmental Biology, University of Palermo, and Institute of Macromolecular Biochemistry, University of Naples Luigi Vanvitelli. In 1995 Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacology, Department of Neuroscience, University of Naples Federico II. In 1996 Biennial fellowship Telethon Foundation. Regulation of copper transport in human enterocyte-like polaryzed cells (Caco-2) biochimical characterization and molecular cloning induced proteins secreted via the apical membrane. Since 2007 permanent University Researcher in Biochemistry (SSD BIOS-07/A), and since 2024 she has been an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Salerno, where she currently works on the molecular mechanisms responsible for the regulation of protein homeostasis in the Endoplasmic Reticulum. She is the author of numerous publications in international journals.
