Curriculum

Marco GALDI Curriculum

Marco Galdi is born in Salerno on 25.12.1965 and lives in Cava de 'Tirreni (SA), at Via Biblioteca Avallone n ° 9.

He is Associate Professor of Public Law at the University of Salerno (Department of Economics and Statistics).

Training:

He graduated in Law at the University of Salerno on December 16, 1988, with a grade of 110/110 cum laude.

In 1991/92 he attended the Institute of Public Law of the University of Munich, under the guidance of prof. Peter Badura.

He obtained the title of research doctor in constitutional law at the University of Bologna in 1994, after attending a three-year doctoral course.

Professional activity:

He is registered in the Register of Lawyers at the Court of Salerno with seniority from 17.02.1997, after having obtained the Order's prize (a toga) for the particular affirmation in the qualifying exams.

He is a lawyer authorized to defend the Supreme Magistracies, with experience of controversies before the Council of State, the Court of Cassation and the Constitutional Court.

Academic activity:

  • in ay. 1998-99 he was contract professor of Institutions of Public Law for the Diploma in Business Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Commerce of the University of Molise;
  • was appointed researcher of constitutional law at the University of Salerno - Faculty of Law, with D.R. No. 1291 of 25.03.1999;
  • for the academic year 1999-2000 he was awarded the substitution of the course of Institutions under public law at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Salerno;
  • starting from the year 2000 he was given the substitute for the course of General Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salerno, where he was the holder from 2006 until 2010;
  • on 15 May 2006, the Faculty of Law of the University of Salerno made a call as Associate Professor in the IUS 08 (Constitutional Law) group, with service taking effect from 1 October 2006 and confirming in 2010;
  • in the academic years 2007-2008, 2008-2009 he was also professor of advanced constitutional law at the specialistic degree course in Law at the University of Salerno;
  • starting from the academic year 2011-2012 he is the holder of the law of federalism, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Salerno.
  • after having held the chairs of Regional Law and Local Authorities and the Administration and Management of Local Authorities, he is currently also the holder of the courses of Public Law at the Degree Course in Economics and Commerce of the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of the Studies of Salerno, as well as co-owner of the Teaching of Public Administration Law at the Degree Course in Business Administration of the same Department.
  • Starting from the academic year 2017-2018, upon his request and following the opinion of the CUN, he moved to the Ius 09 (Public Law) grouping.

Research activity:

Besides participating in university research projects, he has also carried out research on behalf of Formez (in the fields of social policies, ethics and public health), the European University Center for Cultural Heritage of Ravello and the Experimental Institute for Tobacco of Scafati.

Other teaching activities:

On several occasions as a lecturer in public law at the School of Public Administration of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with headquarters in Caserta, he has also carried out didactic activities in the context of numerous training courses (Formez, Sspal, Anciform, etc.).

Administrative and management experience:

He was in Board of Directors of the University of Salerno from 1987 to 1988.

He was Extraordinary Commissioner of the Experimental Institute for Tobacco, under the supervision of the Ministry for Agricultural and Forestry Policies, with headquarters in Scafati (SA) and secondary offices in Bovolone (Verona), Lecce and Rome from 2003 to 2004.

He has held the position of Head of Cabinet of the President of the Province of Salerno and General Director of the same Province from November 2009 to March 2010.

He was mayor of the Municipality of Cava de 'Tirreni from April 2010 to May 2015.

Other experience:

He has an intense cultural and social activity: he was the organizing secretary of the Observatory on the dynamics of cultural tourism, established at the European University Center for Cultural Heritage of Ravello; diocesan delegate for the social and labor ministry of the diocese of Amalfi - Cava de 'Tirreni; president and secretary of the Center for Public Studies and Research; president of Lectura Dantis Metelliana; since March 2014 he is President of the Italian Filellenica Society.

Participation in Conventions:

He took part in numerous conferences on issues of constitutional law and in general of public law. In the last decade we report the report to the National Conference of the Marcopolo Association on the theme "Safety of cities. Role of the local police also in the light of a possible reform ", Palermo, 8 and 9 May 2009; in October 2016 he inaugurated with a lecture entitled "Gaetano Filangieri and the constitutionalism of the moderns" the 2016 Filangerian readings at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Cava de 'Tirreni. On 6 April 2017 he was a speaker at the round table entitled "Il caso Dosio: reflections on the right to Dissent in Italy" held at the University Theater of the University of Salerno; he was a speaker on the theme "Dante e il diritto" on the occasion of the Metelliane Lecture Dantis held in April 2018 at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Cava de 'Tirreni.
