Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH TOOLS FOR CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MAIN TOPICS OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR. THEREFORE, A TWOFOLD APPROACH WILL BE ADOPTED: ON THE ONE HAND, CONSISTENT ATTENTION WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE "MACRO" THEMES OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR, MAKING A DISTINCTION BETWEEN
FUNCTIONAL, SYMBOLIC AND UNSTRUCTURED INTERPRETATIONS OF ORGANIZATIONS; ON THE OTHER HAND, THE “MICRO” THEMES OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR WILL BE ANALYZED, IN ORDER TO DELINEATE THE PIVOTAL SOFT SKILLS FOR A BETTER PERFORMATIVE INTEGRATION INTO MODERN ORGANIZATIONS.
THE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WILL ALLOW THE STUDENT TO DEVELOP GREATER AWARENESS ON THE
COMPLEXITY OF ORGANIZATIONAL ACTION, OFFERING THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE TOPICS THAT ARE OFTEN OVERLOOKED
IN THE TRADITIONAL TEACHINGS OF BUSINESS ORGANIZATION, SUCH AS THE CONSTRUCTION OF MEANINGS
ORGANIZATIONAL, THE CONFLICT BETWEEN CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL SUB-CULTURES, AND RESISTANCE TO CHANGE
ORGANIZATIONAL. THE LESSONS WILL BE EXPERIENTIAL, TO STIMULATE THE ABILITY OF THE LEARNERS OF
CRITICALLY INTERPRET THE DYNAMICS OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR.
STUDENTS WILL IMPROVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN THE MANAGERIAL FIELD, MATURING FAMILIARITY WITH ISSUES OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR OF EXTREME IMPORTANCE FOR A PROFITABLE IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, TO ACQUIRING THE
BASICS OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEXICON, STUDENTS WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE PRESENTATION OF CASE STUDIES
STUDY AND GROUP WORK FOCUSED ON THE KEY ISSUES OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR.

AT THE END OF THE TRAINING COURSE, THE LEARNER WILL BE INDEPENDENT IN JUDGING ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR. HE WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE SOFT SKILLS NECESSARY FOR ORGANIZATIONAL INTEGRATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE E
IN HIGHLY COMPLEX WORK CONTEXTS.

THE CONCEPTUAL FOUNDATIONS OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR (5 HOURS); - THE "MACRO" TYPE THEORIES (10 HOURS);
- THE "MICRO" TYPE THEORIES (10 HOURS);
- SOFT SKILLS AND ORGANIZATIONAL INTEGRATION (10 HOURS);
- SOFT SKILLS AND ORGANIZATIONAL ACTION (5 HOURS);
- SENSEMAKING, CONFLICT AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURES (10 HOURS);
- POWER AND RESISTANCE TO CHANGE (10 HOURS).
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INCLUDES LECTURES AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING SESSIONS AND, FURTHERMORE, THE ORGANIZATION OF ONE OR MORE SEMINARS HELD BY EXPERTS, IN WHICH CASE STUDIES AND
BEST PRACTICE ARE FURTHER EXAMINED.
Verification of learning
THE EXAM CONSISTS OF A WRITTEN TEST, DIVIDED INTO A NUMBER OF 28 CLOSED QUESTIONS AND A OPEN ANSWER QUESTION ; IN ADDITION TO THE ORAL EXAM, AN ORAL INTERVIEW IS SCHEDULED. THE INTERVIEW WILL FOCUS ON THREE TOPICS AMONG THE ONES DISCUSSED DURING THE COURSE. THE FINAL MARK IS AWARDED IN THIRTIETHS (30/30) AND WILL CONSISTS ON AN AVERAGE OF THE EVALUATIONS ACHIEVED DURING THE WRITTEN TEST AND THE ORAL ONE. THE EXAM IS CONSIDERED "PASSED" WHEN THE MARK FOR EACH OF THE TWO PHASES IS HIGHER THAN 18/30. THE MINIMUM ASSESSMENT LEVEL (18) IS ASSIGNED IF THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES FRAGMENTARY THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTESTS DISCUSSED DURING THE COURSE, OR HIGHLIGHTING A LIMITED ABILITY TO LINK ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT TOOLS TO PERFORMANCE BUSINESS. THE MAXIMUM EVALUATION (30) IS ASSIGNED IF THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE AND DEEPENING OF THE THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE, HIGHLIGHTING AN APPROPRIATE CAPACITY OF LINKING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT TOOLS TO BUSINESS PERFORMANCE. "HONORS" IS GIVEN IF THE CANDIDATE HAS A COMPLETE MASTERY OF THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS AND EMPIRICAL ISSUES DISCUSSED DURING THE COURSE, USING A LANGUAGE PROPERTY CONSISTENT WITH JARGON ORGANIZATIONAL.
