Curriculum

Mina MAZZEO Curriculum

Mina Mazzeo graduated in Chemistry cum laude at University of Salerno in 1997. In 2001 she earned her Ph.D. at the University of Salerno defending a thesis regarding post metallocene catalysts for olefin polymerization. From 2001 to 2016 she was Assistant Professor at Chemistry and Biology Department of Salerno University. In the 2006 she was visiting professor in the research group of prof. Jonas Peters at California Institute of Technology (Caltech). From May 2016 she is Associate Professor (CHIM/03) of the Chemistry and Biology Department "A. Zambelli".

Research Interests

Research interests include the synthesis of new metal complexes as homogeneous catalysts for the ring opening polymerization of cyclic esters and copolymerization of epoxides and anhydrides to produce biodegradable and biocompatible polymers. Recently developed catalysts include coordination complexes of transition metals, lanthanides and main group elements.
