Objectives
THE COURSE OF THEORIES AND PERFORMATIVE TECHNIQUES IN MUSIC AND THEATRE OF THE CONTEMPORARY AGE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO MODULES THAT INSIST RESPECTIVELY ON THE SSD L/ART-05 (PERFORMING ARTS) AND SSD L/ART-07 (MUSICOLOGY AND HISTORY OF MUSIC). AIMED AT PHD STUDENTS OF THE CURRICULUM OF MUSICOLOGY AND PERFORMING ARTS, THE COURSE AIMS TO OFFER THEORETICAL TOOLS AND METHODOLOGIES OF ANALYSIS USEFUL FOR THE CRITICAL INTERPRETATION OF PERFORMATIVE PRACTICES ALSO IN A MEDIATIZED DIMENSION.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE PH STUDENT
- WILL KNOW SPECIFIC ASPECTS OF CONTEMPORARY THEATRE AND MUSIC
- WILL UNDERSTAND HOW TO DYNAMICALLY RELATE IT TO OTHER ELEMENTS OF PERFORMING ARTS

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THROUGH THE COURSE THE PH STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO
- ANALYZE IN DETAIL AND WITH PERTINENT LANGUAGE THE THEORIES EXAMINED
- FRAMING WITH CLARITY AND PRECISION THE MAIN ACTING SYSTEMS DEVELOPED IN CONTEMPORARY THEATRE

MAKING JUDGMENTS:
PH STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP CONCEPTUAL TOOLS AND CRITICAL SKILLS FOR AUTONOMOUSLY EVALUATING METHODOLOGICAL-HISTORICAL ISSUES, SOURCES, MATERIALS AND SPECIFIC LANGUAGES OF THEATRICAL AND MUSICAL DISCIPLINES, AS WELL AS OF OTHER ARTISTIC DISCIPLINES.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
PH STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS (BOTH TO AN AUDIENCE OF EXPERTS AND TO ONE OF NON-SPECIALISTS), WITH SPECIFIC LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND LEXICAL SKILLS, AND USING THE MOST APPROPRIATE KIND OF LANGUAGE FOR EACH CIRCUMSTANCE.

LEARNING SKILLS:
PH STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX TEXTS AND USE BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS, TO IDENTIFY AND SELECT THE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE USEFUL FOR INCREASING THEIR KNOWLEDGE
