Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO MAKE STUDENTS ACQUIRE A PROPER METHOD OF STUDY, A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORIOGRAPHY AND INSTITUTIONAL, POLITICAL AND MILITARY HISTORY OF THE GREEKS.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- FULL MASTERY OF THE FUNDAMENTAL LINES OF THE HISTORICAL AND INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE GREEK WORLD;
- ABILITY TO PLACE FACTS AND PROBLEMS IN TIME AND SPACE;
-ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE HISTORICAL PHENOMENON, ALSO IN ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HISTORIOGRAPHIC PHENOMENON, AND MAKE THE APPROPRIATE CONNECTIONS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- ABILITY TO KNOW HOW TO READ THE HISTORICAL FACT IN ITS CONTEXT AND TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE PHENOMENA;
- ABILITY TO CORRECTLY ADDRESS A DOCUMENT, TO DISTINGUISH THE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES;
- ABILITY TO FORMULATE REFLECTIONS IN THE CORRECT FORM:
- ABILITY TO USE THE INSTRUMENTS OF THE DISCIPLINE.

- ABILITY TO CORRECTLY ADDRESS A HISTORICAL SOURCE;

Verification of learning
DURING THE COURSE, IF POSSIBLE, YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE ONE (ORAL) EXAMINATION TO WHOEVER YOU WISH.
THE FINAL EXAMINATION WILL VERIFY THAT THE STUDENTS HAVE ACQUIRED:

FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE CURRICULUM OF CLASSICS IS REQUIRED THE READING IN GREEK OF THE TEXTS OF BOTH THE FIRST AND THE SECOND MODULE. STUDENTS OF OTHER CURRICULA OR DEGREE COURSES ARE REQUESTED TO CONTACT THE TEACHER TO RECEIVE CLARIFICATIONS AND, IF NEED, REPLACE SOME PARTS.
IT IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO AGREE ON AN ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM FOR THE SECOND MODULE.
