THE COURSE AIMS TO DEVELOP AND IMPROVE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AND THE ABILITY, AND AIMS TO APPLY IT TO TEACHING, TO RESEARCH AND TO PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - INCREASING OF KNOWLEDGE OF ROMAN HISTORY AND HISTORIOGRAPHY ACQUIRED DURING THE FIRST THREE YEARS; - DEVELOPMENT OF THE ALREADY ACQUIRED ABILITY TO APPROACH SOURCES, DOCUMENTS AND BIBLIOGRAPHY IN A PROFESSIONAL DIRECTION. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING - ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO READ THE DOCUMENTS AND THE TEXTS OF THE TRADITION, TO MAKE A CRITICAL USE OF THE ANCIENT SOURCES AND OF THE MODERN LITERATURE, MAKING JUDGEMENTS - ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO START A RESEARCH WORK WITH A METHODOLOGY RIGOROUS AND INNOVATIVE. TO LEAD THE SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS ON TOPICS RELEVANT TO THE DISCIPLINE AND OTHERS. -ABILITY TO USE ANCIENT SOURCES AND MODERN BIBLIOGRAPHY CRITICALLY; - ABILITY TO CONDUCT RESEARCH INDEPENDENTLY AND WITH A CRITICAL SENSE ALSO IN AN INTERDISCIPLINARY FIELD; - TO ACT PROFESSIONALLY IN VARIOUS AREAS OF THE WORKING WORLD RELATED TO THE STUDIES OF GREEK HISTORY, INCLUDING DIDACTIC ACTIVITY. COMMUNICATION SKILLS - TO CREATE, PRODUCE AND COMMUNICATE, ALSO IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE, PROCESSING OF ANY KIND, EVEN BEYOND THE LIMITS OF THE DISCIPLINE; - PRODUCE TEXTS OR VIRTUAL TOOLS, KNOWING THEM TO PRESENT AS RESULTS OF OWN RESEARCH OR PROCESSING. LEARNING SKILLS - IMPROVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO USE TRADITIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHICAL TOOLS AND NEW IT RESOURCES IN ALL FIELDS; - FURTHER DEVELOPING THE ALREADY ACQUIRED ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET COMPLEX TEXTS, WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE DISCIPLINE, ALSO IN OTHER AREAS; - CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE, USING AND LEARNING TO FIND TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE IN TOTAL AUTONOMY. |

FINAL ORAL EXAMINATION. WILL BE SUBJECT TO EVALUATION: - THE ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE ROMAN INSTITUTIONAL WORLD AND THE KNOW-HOW TO PLACE THIS KNOWLEDGE IN THE MORE GENERAL FRAMEWORK WHICH INCLUDES THE DYNAMICS OF OPERATION AND THE EVOLUTIONARY PROCESSES; - THE COMPLETED ACQUISITION OF THE CAPACITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED TO THE EXEGISE OF TEXTS IN THE CONTEXT OF A HISTORICAL INVESTIGATION, AS WELL AS THE CAPACITY TO USE CORRECTLY AND CRITICALLY THE SOURCES, LITERARY AND EPIGRAPHIC, AND THE DOCUMENTS, AS WELL AS THE BIBLIOGRAPHY MODERN, TO INDEPENDENTLY AND CRITICALLY OUTLINE THE TERMS OF A HISTORICAL RESEARCH THEME AND TO SET UP A RIGOROUS AND INNOVATIVE WORK; - THE LEVEL OF MASTERY OF KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONALIZING SKILLS IN THE FIELD OF ROMAN HISTORY. THE EVALUATION TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE POSSESSION OF THE PREREQUISITES, THE ORGANICITY AND COMPLETENESS OF THE CONTENTS EXPOSED, THE FORMAL, EXPLANATORY AND ARGUMENTATIONAL CORRECTNESS, THE LEVEL OF AUTONOMY, THE RIGORITY OF THE ACQUIRED METHOD. |
