Geminiano MANCUSI Curriculum

Dr. Geminiano Mancusi is an assistant professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Salerno, Italy. His scientific interest are along the following themes: 1. Mechanical behaviour of thin-walled composite beams; 2. Theoretical and experimental response of members made of composite material; 3. Retrofitting of existing members by using composite laminates or wrappings; 4. Creep behaviour of composite materials; 5. Mechanical response of concrete members reinforced with FRP internal bars and stirrups; 6. Numerical analysis of adhesive joints between FRP adherents. These themes have been generally developed under public financial support. He cooperated as a researcher in a number of scientific projects. including: a) Task 8.4 ReLUIS (The University Network of Seismic Engineering Laboratories), studying the structural behaviour under seismic forces of concrete cores wrapped by FRP; b) PRIN 2006-2008 “Innovative Reinforcing Bars for Concrete Structures”. Within the latter, he has developed a wide exeprimental investigation on the mechanical response of concrete beams reinforced with FRP bars and stirrups. He is still working on the experimental analysis of viscous behaviour of FRP laminates for structural plating and has written more than 30 papers.
