KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE COURSE PRESENTS ADVANCED TOPICS IN STRUCTURAL AND SEISMIC ENGINEERING. SPECIFICALLY, THE COURSE IS AIMED TO THE ACQUISITION OF AN ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SEISMIC ASSESSMENT AND RETROFITTING OF EXISTING STRUCTURES.

MODULE 1: IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT METHODS AND PROCEDURES FOR SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURES.
MODULE 2: ADVANCED STREGTHENING METHODOLOGIES FOR MASONRY STRUCTURES;
MODULE 3: ADVANCED STREGTHENING METHODOLOGIES FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF THREE MAIN SECTIONS DEVOTED TO

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
ABILITY TO RUN SEISMIC ANALYSES AND ELABORATE THEIR RESULTS FOR SEISMIC ASSESSMENT AND RETROFITTING OF EXISTING STRUCTURES.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS
ADVANCED ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE SEISMIC BEHAVIOUR OF EXISTING BUILDINGS MADE OF EITHER MASONRY OR REINFORCED CONCRETE.

COMMUNICATION
WORKING IN GROUP AND EXPLAINING THE KEY ASPECTS OF ADVANCED STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS ARE AMONG THE MOST IMPORTANT EXPECTED COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
