TEACHING aims TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE CONCEPTUAL TOOLS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF SOCIOLOGICAL PHENOMENA SUCH AS SOCIAL CHANGE, DEVELOPMENT, THE LABOR MARKET AND SOCIAL AND EMPLOYMENT POLICIES. THE ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF THE SOCIAL CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT, AS WELL AS THE SOCIAL DYNAMICS OF THE LABOR MARKET, EMPLOYMENT POLICIES AND SOCIAL POLICIES IN A MORE GENERAL SENSE. ABILITY TO MASTER THE SCIENTIFIC AND POLITICAL DEBATES ON THE LABOUR MARKET, WELFARE SYSTEMS AND SOCIAL POLICIES (MIGRATION POLICIES). THE ABILITY TO INDEPENDENTLY ANALYZE STATISTICAL DATA, POLICY AND REGULATORY DOCUMENTS AND SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE ON THE TOPICS COVERED BY THE COURSE. THE ABILITY TO CRITICALLY ILLUSTRATE, WITH PROPERTIES OF LANGUAGE AND EXTENSIVE EXAMPLES, THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEMS OF THE DISCIPLINES INVOLVED. ABILITY TO LINK THE LEARNED SKILLS WITH THOSE ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSES MORE CLOSELY RELATED, BOTH IN THE SUBJECT AREA OF POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCES AND IN THOSE OF ECONOMICS AND LAW. |

THE MODULE WILL PROVIDE CONCEPTUAL AND THEORETICAL TOOLS FOR THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE LABOR MARKET AND EMPLOYMENT POLICIES. AND THE STUDY OF MIGRATION FROM A SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE. ANALYTICAL SKILLS WILL BE DEVELOPED FOR: THE ISSUE OF REGULATION OF THE LABOR MARKET AND POLICIES RELATED TO IT; INEQUALITIES IN PARTICIPATION IN WORK AND IN CAREERS IN ADVANCED CAPITALIST SOCIETIES. LABOUR POLICIES IN EUROPE IN RELATION TO THE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS OF THE WELFARE STATE; MODELS OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN EUROPE WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE MEDITERRANEAN UNEMPLOYMENT MODEL; THE IMPACT OF THE CRISIS ON THE PARTICIPATION IN THE LABOR MARKET IN EUROPE. WOMEN'S PARTICIPATION IN THE LABOR MARKET IN EUROPE. THE IMPACT OF FLEXIBLE LABOR MARKET ON YOUTH AND WOMEN EMPLOYMENT IN THE VARIOUS NATIONAL INSTITUTIONAL CONTEXTS . ABILITY IN RELYING WITH SOCIAL AND ECONOMICS FACTS WILL BE IMPROVED. |
