Vincenzo MATTA Curriculum

Brief Biography

Vincenzo Matta (born 1977) is Full Professor of Telecommunications at the Department of Information & Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM), University of Salerno, Italy.
His research activity spans the fields of signal processing, network theory and statistical learning, with current emphasis on adaptation and learning over networks; the interplay between inference, communications and security in distributed systems; multiobject/multisensor tracking and data fusion; detection of gravitational waves. He has published more than 120 articles on international journals and proceedings of international conferences.
His teaching activity covers topics in the fields of statistical signal processing and communications. Specific courses offered include: Signals and Systems Theory, Digital Communications, Wireless Communications, Data Networks, Coding and Data Compression, Statistical Data Analysis.
Professor Matta is the Director of the Laboratory Co.Ri.TeL (Research Consortium on Telecommunications) at the University of Salerno.
