THE THEORETICAL LESSONS ARE INTERLEAVED WITH NUMERICAL EXAMPLES AND DEVELOPED EXERCISES. IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE TO THE FINAL ASSESSMENT AND TO GAIN THE CREDITS CORRESPONDING TO THE COURSE, THE STUDENT MUST HAVE ATTENDED AT LEAST 70% OF THE HOURS OF ASSISTED TEACHING ACTIVITIES. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
WRITTEN EXAMINATION (TOTAL TIME: 2 HOURS), CONSISTING OF NUMERICAL EXERCISES (A TYPICAL NUMBER IS 3) OR THEORETICAL QUESTIONS, FOLLOWED BY ORAL EXAMINATION. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION CONSISTS IN SOLVING TYPICAL EXERCISES OF DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS. (E.G., ANALYSIS OF MODULATION SYSTEMS, PERFORMANCE EVALUATION, HYPOTHESIS TESTS, PARAMETER ESTIMATION,...). THE EVALUATION TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE ABILITY TO FORMALIZE THE PROBLEM, THE CORRECTNESS OF THE RESULTS, THE CLARITY OF THE PRESENTATION, THE DEPTH OF UNDERSTANDING. A POSITIVE EVALUATION IS NECESSARY TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE ORAL EXAMINATION. THE ORAL EXAMINATION IS AIMED TO REFINE THE EVALUATION. |
