THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ON THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE MAJOR BIOMOLECULES AND ON THE MAIN STREETS OF THE ENERGY METABOLISM; SUCH KNOWLEDGE IS ESSENTIAL TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE BIOLOGICAL MECHANISM OF DRUGS AND OF THE APPLICATION OF BIOCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES IN INDUSTRY. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: ACQUISITION OF THE SPECIFIC LANGUAGE IN THE SECTOR AND OF THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE DISCIPLINE. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: BE ABLE TO ASSESS IN AN INDEPENDENT AND CRITICAL WAY ANY DIFFERENT OPINIONS EXIST IN CERTAIN TOPICS ADDRESSED DURING THE LESSONS; MAKING JUDGEMENTS: ABILITY TO DISCUSS IN A CRITICAL AND AUTONOMOUS WAY, TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: STUDENTS HAVE TO INTERACT WITH EXPERTS FROM OTHER DISCIPLINES IN THE FIELD, TO COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS OF THEIR LEARNING EFFECTIVELY. |
