Objectives
THE GOAL OF THE COURSE IS TO PROVIDE THE SKILLS TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ON CULTURAL PRACTICES (FERTILIZATION, CONSERVATIVE SOIL TILLAGE METHODS, REGULATION OF WATER IN THE FIELD, IRRIGATION, ORGANIC MATTER MANAGEMENT) TO PLAN SUSTAINABLE CROP SYSTEMS AND ASSURE THE SAFEGUARD OF THE RESOURCES AND THE QUALITY OF PRODUCTS BOTH FOR INTENSIVE OR MULTIFUNCTIONAL AGRICULTURE AND PROTECTED AREAS.
THE MAIN KNOWLEDGE WILL BE:
-KNOWLEDGE OF THE RELATIONS SOIL – PLANT – ATMOSPHERE AND MEASURE OF THE PRINCIPAL PARAMETERES.
-KNOWLEDGE OF ECO-COMPATIBLE CULTURAL PRACTICES APPLIED TO SOIL AND CROP MANAGEMENT.
-KNOWLEDGE OF DIFFERENT CROP SYSTEMS.
THE MAIN SKILLS WILL BE:
-THE APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE TO PLANNING LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT CROP SYSTEMS FOR DIFFERENT SOIL AND CLIMATE CONDITIONS.
-THE APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE TO OPTIMIZE THE USE AND SAFEGUARD OF AGRICULTURE RESOURCES WITH CAREFUL ATTENTION TO PROTECTED AREAS.
-THE APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF PRODUCTS BOTH FOR THE INTENSIVE AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL AGRICULTURE.
Prerequisites
IN ORDER THAT THE STUDENTS ACHIEVE THE BEST UNDERSTANDING OF THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE THEY HAVE TO CERTIFY THE EXAM OF BIOLOGY AND BOTANIC BEFORE THE FINAL TEST OF AGRONOMY.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE OF AGRONOMY CONSIDER 9 CFU (63 HOURS) OF WHICH 7 CFU (49 HOURS) OF FRONTAL LESSONS AND 2 CFU (14 HOURS) OF LABORATORY, FIELD ACTIVITIES AND EXTERNAL VISITS.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH THE MINIMUM RATE OF 18/30. THE FINAL EXAM IS WRITTEN AND ORAL. THE WRITTEN TEST INCLUDES MULTIPLE CHOISE QUESTIONS AND NUMERIC EXERCISES. IT IS FOLLOWED BY AN ORAL INTERVIEW WHICH IS BASED ON THE DISCUSSION OF THE WRITTEN TEST AND OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM OF THE COURSE.
