Current work position
Associate Professor in the sector ING-IND / 17 - "Mechanical Industrial Plants" since 2019.
Permanent university researcher in the sector ING-IND / 17 - "Mechanical Industrial Plants" since 2005. He obtained confirmation in the role in 2008 and in 2017 he obtained the national scientific qualification to the functions of second level university professor in the field of competition 09 / B2 "Industrial Mechanical Plants"..
He is currently a lecturer in charge of the "Modeling of Production and Logistics Systems" course for the Master's Degree in Management Engineering and the Management module of the course "Design and Management of Industrial Plants" of the Mechanical Engineering Degree Course at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn) of the University of Salerno.
Biographical notes
He graduated in Mechanical Engineering on July 24, 2000 at the University of Salerno with the thesis: "Proposal of a software architecture for the management of production in small companies operating under the ATO regime" (vote 110 and honors) and he obtained the qualification to practice the profession of Engineer in the 2nd session of the year 2000. He is enrolled in the register of Engineers of the province of Salerno since 2001.
Between September and December 2000 he obtained a contract of collaboration with the Management Service Team (MST) srl of Montecorvino Pugliano (SA) for the introduction of a software for production management within the AMES company.
From February 2001 to May 2001 he obtains a contract for the assignment of a consulting position at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Salerno as part of the "PRIN 99" research project entitled "Development of Interacting Simulators" .
From March 2001 to February 2002 he attended a post-graduate specialization course in "Control, Insurance and Quality Management in Agri-Food Industries" at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Salerno.
In November 2001 he obtained the admission III Cycle new series of the Ph.D. Program in "Advanced Systems Engineering" for three years, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Salerno and obtained the PhD in " Advanced Production Systems Engineering "on April 18, 2005 with the thesis entitled:" Advanced techniques for the management of supply chains and networks in manufacturing contexts ".
In December 2003, he was the winner of a competition for a post of university researcher in the scientific / disciplinary sector ING-IND / 17 "Industrial Mechanical Plants" at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Salerno and took up his duties in January 2005 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Salerno.
From June 2004 to December 2004 he holds a research grant at the Regional Competence Center (Measure 3.13 - New Technologies for Productive Activities) - Profile E "Innovation Manager in the design of materials and technologies for the aeronautical and naval sectors".
From 2005 to 2007 he was a member of the Campania Campus Committee "New Technologies for Productive Activities" (Project funded by the Campania Region) for the strengthening of the Professionalising Degrees, chaired by prof. Michele Pappalardo and coordinated by prof. Vincenzo Sergi.
In October 2006, he was awarded the "Industrial Systems Management" course of the Mechanical Engineering Degree Course at the University of Salerno.
In June 2008, he obtained confirmation as a university researcher for the scientific / disciplinary sector ING-IND / 17 "Impianti Industriali Meccanici".
In the year 2008 and in 2012 he was a member of the examination committee for the access to the PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Salerno and in the same year he was appointed tutor of the engineer. Giada Martino who discussed the thesis entitled "A model for the optimization of the Supply Chain in the Retail Fashion Industry".
From 2011 to 2014 he was scientific director of the FARB projects funded by the University.
In 2013 and 2016 he was a member of the commission for state exams to qualify as an engineer.
In June 2015, he was a member of the jury for the final exams of the research doctorate in "Industrial and Innovation Engineering" XXXVII Cycle of the University of Basilicata.
In October 2015, he was awarded the Modeling course of Production and Logistics Systems for the Master's Degree in Management Engineering.
He is the author of 95 publications including 22 in international journals and 68 in national and international conferences, 3 book volume contributions and 2 compendium contributions.
Teaching activity
The teaching activity of Eng. Iannone was mainly carried out at the University of Salerno, where since 2001 he is a lover of the subjects related to the scientific-disciplinary group Ing-Ind / 17, "Mechanical Industrial Plants". From the same year he collaborates with the proff. Alfredo Lambiase, Stefano Riemma and Salvatore Miranda in the classroom development of educational seminars and exercises firstly for courses in Industrial Plant Management, Industrial Plants, Production Management, Automated Production Systems and Plant Services and, subsequently, for new courses Integrated Design and Management of Industrial Plants, Automation and Management of Production Systems and General Plant Services.
In addition, he carried out integrative didactic tasks (exams, tutoring activities and teaching assistance) for the courses listed above and was a lecturer of 46 Thesis, Master's Degree and Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management in the field of scientific / disciplinary teaching .
In 2007, on behalf of the Mechanical Engineering Teaching Area, he held a position for 100 hours for the orientation activity aimed at planning, coordinating and monitoring the internship activities of the students of the Campania campus project.
In 2009, on behalf of the Teaching Area of Mechanical Engineering, he held a position for online tutoring for distance learning for the Campus Campania project. New technologies for production activities.

Scientific activity
The research activity carried out within the research group at the University of Salerno, coordinated by prof. Lambiase, involved several aspects concerning the issues specific to the scientific / disciplinary sector of belonging. In particular, the research focused on the following topics:
Development of advanced simulation models for the analysis of manufacturing environments and the supply chain of the fashion industry;
Innovative architectures for the management of materials and resources in the healthcare environment;
Models for economic assessment and risks related to the introduction of innovative technologies in industrial and service processes;
Material management models with space constraints and Kanban systems;
Analysis of industrial processes with a view to the Life Cycle Assessment;
Development of simulation models for the analysis of the impact of the human factor within manufacturing processes;
Models for energy optimization through demand response logic.

Institutional activity
From 2005 to 2007 he was a member of the Campania Campus Committee "New Technologies for Productive Activities" (Project financed by the Campania Region) for the strengthening of the Professionalizing Degrees, chaired by prof. Michele Pappalardo and coordinated by prof. Vincenzo Sergi.
Since 2006 he has been a member of the Web Commission, chaired by prof. Gianfranco Rizzo, with the task of keeping the site of the Didactic Area updated and of administering the E-Learning platform.
From 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the RAD commission for the Didactic area of Mechanical Engineering.
