Objectives
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: SKILLS IN PLANNING URBAN INTERVENTIONS CONSISTENT AND CORRELATED WITH THE DYNAMICS OF DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSFORMATION OF THE URBAN STRUCTURE.

TO LEARN, THROUGH THE DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF A TECHNICAL NATURE (SOILS, RISKS, CARTOGRAPHIES AND GIS, ACTORS, CONSTRAINTS, PROPERTIES, PLANS, ETC.), THE STRUCTURE OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL SYSTEMS AND PHENOMENA THAT PRESERVE PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS THAT IN THEM THEY DO; TO ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY TO USE BUILDING, URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS NECESSARY FOR THE MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PHENOMENA; TO ACQUIRE, THROUGH THE STUDY OF URBAN MODELS AND TECHNIQUES, THE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND TRAIN PLANNING AND TERRITORIAL PLANNING TOOLS; TO ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY TO IMPLEMENT AN URBAN PLAN IMPLEMENTING IN TERMS OF CALCULATION OF PROPORTIONALITY, TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN CONCEPTUAL, PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL MODELS OF URBAN PLANNING AND PLANNING AS WELL AS METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES FOR COMPUTING AND DESIGNING IN THIS FIELD.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
KNOW HOW TO READ URBAN PLANNING TOOLS AND KNOW HOW TO COMPUTE TECHNICAL CALCULATIONS OF PROPORTIONING OF A SETTLEMENT AND ITS GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION OF ANALYSIS AND PROJECT.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS:
TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS FOR THE DESIGN OF PLANNING PLANNING SOLUTIONS BASED ON THE CONTEXT IN QUESTION.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
KNOW HOW TO WORK IN A GROUP AND TO EXPOSE ORAL AND WRITTEN, TEXTUALLY AND GRAPHICALLY, A TOPIC RELATED TO THE TOPICS DISCUSSED.
LEARNING SKILLS:
KNOW HOW TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND KNOW HOW TO LEARN INDEPENDENTLY DEPENDING ON CONTEXTS AND EVOLUTION OF KNOWLEDGE.
Prerequisites
FOR THE SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT OF OBJECTIVES ARE REQUIRED BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF MATHEMATICS AND REPRESENTATION.

PROPAEDEUTIC EXAMS: ANALISI MATEMATICA I, DISEGNO DELL'ARCHITETTURA I.

THEORETICAL LESSONS FOR 40 CREDITS
ANNUAL PROJECT FOR 20 CFU.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE COVERS LECTURES (80 CFU) AND CLASSROOM EXERCISES CONSISTING IN DRAFTING OF AN URBAN PLAN IMPLEMENTATION (ANNUAL PROJECT) (40 CFU).
THE THEORETICAL LESSONS INCLUDE ONE OR TWO SEMINARS WITH EXTERNAL EXPERTS FOR A TOTAL OF 5-6 HOURS.
ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR A MINIMUM OF 70% OF TEACHING HOURS.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES WILL BE DONE THROUGH TWO WRITTEN TESTS (ON THE FIRST MODULE AND ON SECOND MODULE - 20 MINUTES EACH PART), PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF THE YEAR PROJECT (10 MINUTES), A NUMERICAL EXERCISE (5 MINUTES) AND A ORAL FINAL EXAM (15 MINUTES).

TO PASS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE AN UNDERSTANDING OF AND BE ABLE TO APPLY THE MAIN CONCEPTS PRESENTED IN THE COURSE WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO URBAN PLANNING INDICATORS,THE PROPORTION OF A SETTLEMENT AND PLANNING SYSTEM. THE VOTE, OUT OF THIRTY WITH ANY PRAISE, DEPEND ON THE MATURITY GAINED ON THE COURSE CONTENT, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE QUALITY OF WRITTEN AND ORAL EXPOSURE.
FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE PRAISE WE WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- THE QUALITY OF THE EXPOSURE, IN TERMS OF USING APPROPRIATE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE;
- THE ABILITY OF CROSS-CORRELATION BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES;
- OF THE AUTONOMY OF DEMONSTRATED JUDGMENT.
Texts
LECTURE NOTES PREPARED BY THE TEACHER ON THE LESSONS OF THE COURSE.
