GENERAL OBJECTIVE THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO TEACHING MODULES, RESPECTIVELY OF 6 (60 HOURS OF LECTURES) - MODULE 1) AND 6 CFU (60 HOURS OF LABORATORY - MODULE 2). THIS COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH: THE ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET, THROUGH THE DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF A TECHNICAL NATURE (SOILS, RISKS, MAPS AND GIS, ACTORS, PROPERTIES, CONSTRAINTS, PLANS, ETC.), OF THE STRUCTURE OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL SYSTEMS AND THE PHENOMENA THAT GOVERN THE PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL TRANSFORMATIONS THAT TAKE PLACE IN THEM (MODULE 1); THE ABILITY, IN TERMS OF APPLICATION, TO USE THE BUILDING, URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS NECESSARY FOR THE MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PHENOMENA (MODULE 1); THE CAPACITY READING, DRAFTING AND TRAINING OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PLANNING TOOLS THROUGH THE STUDY OF URBAN PLANNING MODELS AND TECHNIQUES; THE ABILITY TO DRAW UP AN URBAN IMPLEMENTATION PLAN IN TERMS OF CALCULATION OF PROPORTIONS, TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION (MODULE 2). KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - KNOW THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN THE CONTEXT OF CONCEPTUAL MODELS AND TOOLS AIMED AT THE ANALYSIS OF THE CITY AND THE TERRITORY (MODULE 1); - UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS OF URBAN PLANS AND THE METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES OF CALCULATION AND DESIGN IN THIS FIELD (MODULE 2). ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - READ THE CONTENTS OF URBAN PLANNING TOOLS AT VARIOUS SCALES, IN PARTICULAR AT THE IMPLEMENTATION SCALE (MODULE 1 AND 2); - DEVELOP TECHNICAL CALCULATIONS OF PROPORTIONING A SETTLEMENT AND THE RELATED GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND DESIGN CONTENTS OF A PLAN (MODULE 2). MAKING JUDGEMENTS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - CRITICALLY EVALUATE THE DESIGN CHOICES, SELECT TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS AND STRATEGIES MORE EFFECTIVE DESIGN ACCORDING TO THE CONTEXT AND PROJECT OBJECTIVES (MODULES 1 AND 2); - IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE TECHNIQUES TO BE USED FOR THE KNOWLEDGE AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN PLANNING SOLUTIONS BASED ON THE CONTEXT UNDER CONSIDERATION (MODULES 1 AND 2). COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - COLLABORATE IN WORKING GROUPS AND PRESENT ORALLY AND IN WRITING, VERBATIM AND GRAPHICALLY, A TOPIC RELATED TO TOPICS WITH A TECHNICAL CONTENT (MODULES 1 AND 2); - EFFECTIVELY REPRESENT AND COMMUNICATE, IN WRITTEN, GRAPHIC AND ORAL FORM, THE RESULTS OF THE ANALYSES AND DESIGN CHOICES MADE (MODULES 1 AND 2). LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - PROCEED AUTONOMOUSLY TO THE CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE, USING TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE (MODULES 1 AND 2); - LEARN TO TRANSFER AND APPLY KNOWLEDGE.AND THE METHODOLOGIES ACQUIRED ACCORDING TO THE CONTEXTS AND THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNICAL AND REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE (MODULES 1 AND 2). |

THE COURSE COVERS LECTURES (60 HOURS) AND CLASSROOM EXERCISES CONSISTING IN DRAFTING OF AN URBAN PLAN IMPLEMENTATION (ANNUAL PROJECT) (60 HOURS). THIS PLAN MUST CONTAIN 10 TECHNICAL DRAWINGS ANALYSING THE AREA OF INTERVENTION AND 6 TECHNICAL DRAWINGS OF THE URBAN PLANNING PROJECT, AS WELL AS AN ILLUSTRATIVE TECHNICAL REPORT. THE THEORETICAL LESSONS INCLUDE ONE OR TWO SEMINARS WITH EXTERNAL EXPERTS FOR A TOTAL OF 5-6 HOURS. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR A MINIMUM OF 70% OF TEACHING HOURS. ATTENDANCE WILL BE ASCERTAINED BY GENERATING THE QR CODE IN THE CLASSROOM HALFWAY THROUGH THE LESSON. |

THE EXAM IS INDIVIDUAL. THE EVALUATION OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET OBJECTIVES WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH TWO WRITTEN TESTS, ONE INTERMEDIATE, ON THE FIRST PART (8 QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED IN 20 MINUTES), AND ONE ON THE SECOND PART (8 QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED IN 20 MINUTES), THE PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF THE PROJECT OF THE YEAR (10 MINUTES), AN EXERCISE IN PROPORTIONING A SETTLEMENT (10 MINUTES) AND A FINAL ORAL INTERVIEW (20 MINUTES). TO PASS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT HE/SHE HAS UNDERSTOOD AND IS ABLE TO APPLY THE MAIN CONCEPTS PRESENTED IN THE COURSE WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO URBAN PLANNING INDICATORS, THE PROPORTIONALITY OF A SETTLEMENT AND THE PLANNING SYSTEM. THE GRADE, EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS, WILL DEPEND ON THE MATURITY ACQUIRED ON THE CONTENTS OF THE COURSE, ALSO TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE QUALITY OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL PRESENTATION. THE FINAL GRADE WILL BE THE AVERAGE OF THE INDIVIDUAL MARKS OBTAINED ON THE MID-TERM EXAM, THE FINAL EXAM, THE YEAR PROJECT AND THE PROPORTIONALITY EXERCISE. TO ACHIEVE THE MINIMUM, THE STUDENT MUST ANSWER AT LEAST HALF OF THE EIGHT QUESTIONS SUFFICIENTLY. FOR EACH OF THE TWO MODULES PROVIDED.. THE MAXIMUM WILL BE AWARDED IF THE STUDENT ANSWERS VERY WELL TO ALL THE QUESTIONS AND TO THE FINAL PROPORTIONING EXERCISE. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE HONOURS, THE FOLLOWING WILL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT: - THE QUALITY OF THE PRESENTATION, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF APPROPRIATE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE; - THE ABILITY TO CORRELATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES; - THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A TEAM; - THE AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT DEMONSTRATED. |
