THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO TEACHING MODULES, RESPECTIVELY OF 6 (60 HOURS OF LECTURES - MODULE 1) AND 6 CFU (60 HOURS OF LABORATORY - MODULE 2). THIS COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH: DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF THE TECHNIQUES USED IN THE FIELD OF URBAN PLANNING (PARTICIPATION, EQUALIZATION, CONTROL AND PREVENTION OF TERRITORIAL RISKS, ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT, ETC.), THE METHODS OF THEIR USE AND THE TECHNICAL-URBAN CONTEXT IN WHICH TO IMPLEMENT THEM; THE ABILITY TO USE THE URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS NECESSARY FOR THE MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL OF URBAN AND TERRITORIAL PHENOMENA (MODULE 1); THE ABILITY, IN TERMS OF APPLICATION, TO MODEL THE TERRITORY ON THE BASIS OF THE THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES THAT GOVERN ITS PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION; THE ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE SPECIFIC CONTENTS OF URBAN PLANNING TOOLS THROUGH THE STUDY OF URBAN PLANNING MODELS AND TECHNIQUES; THE ABILITY TO DRAW UP A MUNICIPAL STRUCTURAL PLAN IN ITS RECONNAISSANCE AND STRATEGIC COMPONENT, IN TERMS OF SIZING, TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION (MODULE 2). KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - KNOW THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN THE FIELD OF THEORETICAL AND CONCEPTUAL MODELS AND TOOLS AIMED AT THE ANALYSIS OF THE CITY AND THE TERRITORY (MODULE 1); - UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS OF URBAN PLANS AND THE METHODOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES OF CALCULATION AND DESIGN IN THE FIELD OF URBAN PLANNING (MODULE 2). ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - READ THE TECHNICAL DEVICES OF URBAN PLANNING TOOLS AT VARIOUS SCALES, IN PARTICULAR AT THE MUNICIPAL SCALE (MODULE 1); - DEVELOP THE TECHNICAL CALCULATIONS OF SIZING A STRUCTURAL PLAN AND THE RELATED GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND DESIGN (MODULE 2). AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - CRITICALLY EVALUATE THE DESIGN CHOICES, SELECT THE MOST EFFECTIVE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS AND DESIGN STRATEGIES ACCORDING TO THE CONTEXT AND PROJECT OBJECTIVES (MODULES 1 AND 2); - IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE TECHNIQUES TO BE USED FOR THE KNOWLEDGE AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF URBAN PLANNING SOLUTIONS BASED ON THE CONTEXT UNDER CONSIDERATION (MODULES 1 AND 2). COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - COLLABORATE IN WORKING GROUPS AND PRESENT ORALLY AND IN WRITING, VERBATIM AND GRAPHICALLY, A TOPIC RELATED TO TOPICS OF TECHNICAL CONTENT (MODULES 1 AND 2); - EFFECTIVELY REPRESENT AND COMMUNICATE, IN WRITTEN, GRAPHIC AND ORAL FORM, THE RESULTS OF THE ANALYSES AND DESIGN CHOICES MADE (MODULES 1 AND 2). LEARNING SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - PROCEED WITH THE CONTINUOUS UPDATING OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE, USING THE REGULATIONS AND THE TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE (MODULES 1 AND 2); - LEARN TO TRANSFER AND APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND METHODOLOGIES ACQUIRED ACCORDING TO THE CONTEXTS AND THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNICAL AND REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE (MODULES 1 AND 2). |

THE COURSE INCLUDES A TOTAL OF 12 CREDITS, OF WHICH LECTURES FOR 6 CREDITS AND LABORATORY FOR A FURTHER 6 CFU. IN THE LABORATORY, THE STUDENTS, DIVIDED INTO WORKING GROUPS, ARE ASSIGNED THE TASK OF DEVELOPING A PRELIMINARY MUNICIPAL URBAN PLAN. THE PROJECT IS AIMED AT ACQUIRING URBAN ANALYSIS AND DESIGN SKILLS. PARTICIPATION IN THE LECTURES IS COMPULSORY AND ACCESS TO THE EXAM REQUIRES ATTENDANCE OF AT LEAST 70% OF THE HOURS OF LECTURES AND EXERCISES, ASCERTAINED ELECTRONICALLY OR ANNOUNCED BY THE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LESSONS. |

THE EVALUATION OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES WILL TAKE PLACE AS FOLLOWS, AT THE END OF THE FIRST SEMESTER THERE WILL BE AN EVALUATION TEST OF THE FIRST MODULE OF THE PROGRAM THROUGH A 30-MINUTE ORAL INTERVIEW. AT THE END OF THE COURSE THERE WILL BE AN EXAM RELATED TO THE SECOND PART OF THE PROGRAM WITH AN ORAL INTERVIEW OF ABOUT 30 MINUTES. THE FINAL GRADE WILL BE AWARDED BY AVERAGING THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH OF THE TWO PARTS OF THE EXAM. TO PASS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT HE UNDERSTANDS AND IS ABLE TO APPLY THE MAIN CONCEPTS PRESENTED DURING THE COURSE. THE GRADE WILL DEPEND ON THE MATURITY ACQUIRED ON THE COURSE CONTENTS, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE QUALITY OF THE ORAL PRESENTATION AND THE PROJECT ELABORATION DEVELOPED. THE MINIMUM GRADE WILL BE AWARDED IF THE STUDENT KNOWS AT LEAST THE DEFINITION AND USE OF URBAN PLANNING INDICATORS AND THE MAXIMUM GRADE IF HE/SHE WILL ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS FORMULATED IN A MORE THAN SATISFACTORY MANNER. FOR THE PURPOSES OF AWARDING HONOURS, PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE PAID TO THE ABILITY TO TRANSVERSALLY CORRELATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND TO THE AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT DEMONSTRATED. |
