Teaching Methods
TEACHING COVERS THEORETICAL LECTURES (4 CFU) AND CLASSROOM EXERCISES (2 CFU). THE THEORETICAL LECTURES LEAD TO A CRITICAL READING OF THE ISSUES AND METHODOLOGIES RELATED TO THE PROBLEM OF THE RECOVERY OF THE BUILT HERITAGE, HISTORICAL AND MODERN.
IN THE CLASSROOM EXERCISES THE STUDENTS, DIVIDED INTO WORKING GROUPS, ARE ASSIGNED A THEME TO DEVELOP, INCLUDING THROUGH SITE VISITS, FOR THE PROJECT OF RECOVERY AND CONSERVATION OF A DEGRADED, DISUSED OR UNDERUTILIZED BUILDING ORGANISM. STUDENTS ORGANIZED IN DESIGN TEAMS WILL ADDRESS, DURING THE GUIDED PROJECT EXPERIENCE, ISSUES RELATED TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE DEGRADATION OF AN ARTIFACT, REHABILITATIVE INTERVENTIONS AND, WHEN NECESSARY, THE DETERMINATION OF USES COMPATIBLE WITH THE MORPHOLOGY, STRUCTURE AND CONSERVATION CONDITIONS OF THE EXISTING.
THROUGH THE EXERCISE ACTIVITIES, STUDENTS ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN STRATEGIES OF ARCHITECTURAL RECOVERY, THE REPRESENTATION OF THE DRAWINGS NECESSARY FOR A RECOVERY PROJECT. THE EXERCISE PHASE SUMMARIZES ALL THE CONTENT COVERED AND WHICH AIMS TO DEVELOP SKILLS AND CRITICAL CAPABILITIES IN THE CHOICE OF THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODOLOGIES AND SYSTEMS FOR AN EFFECTIVE AND COMPATIBLE ARCHITECTURAL RECOVERY AND CONSERVATION PROJECT.
Verification of learning
THE EXAM IS TO ASSESS THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO LEARN THE BASIC CONTENTS OF THE COURSE. THE VOTE, EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS WITH POSSIBLE PRAISE, WILL DEPEND ON THE MATURITY ACQUIRED IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPOSURE. IT WILL BE ASSESSED THROUGH AN ORAL INTERVIEW, AT THE END OF COURSE, AIMED AT ASCERTAINING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENT ON THE TEACHING CONTENT, AS WELL AS VERIFYING THE ABILITY TO EXHIBIT, USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO AUTONOMOUSLY ORGANIZE THE EXHIBITION.
THE INTERVIEW CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS: A) AND B)
PART A) PROPOSES THEORETICAL QUESTIONS ON ALL THE TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND ON THE RECOMMENDED BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES, AS WELL AS ON VISITS, INSPECTIONS AND ANY SEMINARS CARRIED OUT.
PART B) PROPOSES THE DISCUSSION OF THE DRAWINGS OF THE EXERCISE OF THE YEAR, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ANALYSIS AND DESIGN CHOICES.

THE TEST TENDS TO DEMONSTRATE THE SKILLS RELATED TO AUTONOMOUSLY MANAGE AND INTEGRATE, IN A SCIENTIFIC AND RIGOROUS MANNER, THEORETICAL INFORMATION AND DESIGN PRACTICE WITH CROSS-CUTTING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CONTENTS OF THE LECTURES (30 CUM LAUDE), CONSCIOUSLY SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF THE RECOVERY AND PRESERVATION OF ARCHITECTURE, FROM THE CONSTRUCTIVE, TECHNOLOGICAL, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL POINT OF VIEW (30), KNOW HOW TO CARRY OUT THE 'ASSIGNED EXERCISE (18).

FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE PRAISE WE WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- THE QUALITY OF THE EXHIBITION, IN TERMS OF USING APPROPRIATE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE
- THE QUALITY OF THE DRAWINGS OF THE DESIGN EXERCISES
- THE ABILITY OF CROSS-CORRELATION BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE COURSE
- OF THE AUTONOMY OF PROVEN JUDGMENT.
