Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
THE OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE A SOCIOLOGICAL READING OF COMMUNICATION PHENOMENA THROUGH THE ROLE PLAYED BY COMMUNICATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS ON THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF INTERACTIONS AND FORMS OF COMMUNICATION, AS WELL AS THE IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF THE THEORIES AND TECHNIQUES THAT HAVE SPREAD WITH THE BIRTH OF MASS SOCIETY AND THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF MASS MEDIA AND ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE RELATING TO THE MAIN THEORIES OF COMMUNICATION AND WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE EFFECTS OF COMMUNICATION WINDS.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL HAVE ACQUIRED A CRITICAL ABILITY TO READ THE PHENOMENA CONNECTED TO MEDIA COMMUNICATION AND THE CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE PHENOMENA CONNECTED TO COMMUNICATION AND THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF FORMS OF COMMUNICATION.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO EVALUATE THE IMPACT OF ONLINE AND OFFLINE COMMUNICATION ON THE DYNAMICS OF SOCIETY.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE MOST SUITABLE COMMUNICATIVE EVENTS DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

LEARNING ABILITY
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERPRET THE PROBLEMS RELATED TO COMMUNICATION PROCESSES.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN APPROACHES OF SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY AND THEIR APPLICATION TO COMMUNICATIONAL PROCESSES

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE IS COMPOSED OF 40 HOURS AND WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH LESSONS/ESERCITATIONS, APPROACHES THROUGH CASE STUDIES AND SEMINARS
Verification of learning
THE EXAM IS AIMED AT EVALUATING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE DISCIPLINE AND ITS EVOLUTION WITH THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF SOCIETY.
THE EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST WHICH, IF A SUFFICIENT SCORE IS ACHIEVED TO PASS THE TEST (18/30), REPLACES THE ORAL TEST. THIS TEST CONSISTS OF 15 QUESTIONS WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS (3 ANSWERS OF WHICH ONLY ONE IS CORRECT) EACH OF WHICH GIVES A SCORE OF 2 (TWO), THE QUESTIONS IN ADDITION TO EVALUATING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE COURSE CONTENTS AND THE CONTENTS OF THE SEMINARS THAT WILL BE ORGANIZED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF APPLICATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE LEARNED, TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL FACTOR OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE. THOSE WHO DO NOT OBTAIN A SCORE THAT ALLOWS THEM TO PASS THE EXAM (>= 18/30) WILL HAVE TO REPEAT THE WRITTEN TEST AT A LATER SESSION.
