Ivana Caputo was born in Naples (Italy) on May 14, 1971. 1995: graduated in Biological Sciences (110/110 with lode) at the University of Naples "Federico II". 2001, PhD in Cell Biochemistry at the Second University of Naples. 2003, specialist in Clinical Biochemistry and Chemistry at the Second University of Naples. Professional Order of Biologists from 1998. 2000, contract of scientific collaboration at the department of Food Science, University Federico II, Naples. 2002-2004, researcher at the European Laboratory of Food-Induced Diseases (ELFID). Research activity also at Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Second University of Naples and at Department of Paediatrics of the University Federico II. From 2006, researcher in molecular biology at the University of Salerno, department of Chemistry. Teaching activity in degree courses of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Valutazione e controllo Ambientale. Expertise fields: transglutaminases, their biochemical characterization and expression in cells, substrates identification, role in pathogenesis of human diseases.
