Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS AT PROVIDING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE MACHINES AND PLANTS MONITORING ALONG WITH THE MAIN EXPERIMENTAL METHODS FROM THE DYNAMICS OF MACHINES THEORY.
THE COURSE PROGRAM DEALS WITH MODELLING, SOFTWARE SIMULATIONS AND LABORATORY TEST TO ENGAGAGE SYSTEM RESPONSE IN ORDINARY AND FAULT OPERATING CONDITIONS.
Prerequisites
COMMON SKILLS OF THE BSC DEGREE IN THE AREA OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING.

SYSTEM DYNAMICS AND DYNAMICS OF MACHINES. MODELS AND INPUT TYPES. DIRECT APPROACH AND LAPLACE TRANSFORM. TRANSFER FUNCTION. OPEN AND CLOSED LOOP CONTROL SYSTEMS. MODAL ANALYSIS. RAYLEIGH'S METHOD. DIAGNOSTICS FOR ROLLING BEARINGS, JOURNAL BEARINGS, ROTOR UNBALANCE, GEARBOX. SIGNAL ANALYSIS: FUNCTIONS, DIAGNOSTICS' TOOL. CORRELATION, CONVOLUTION INTEGRAL. FREQUENCY RESPONSE FUNCTIONS.

CLASSES WITH THEORY AND NUMERICAL APPLICATIONS LESSONS.
LABORATORY LESSONS: ACTUATORS AND INTERFACES WITH REAL-TIME HARDWARE TESTING AND DATALOGGING.
Verification of learning
WRITTEN TEST WITH SIMULATION EXERCISE OR ORAL EXAMINATION.
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE SIMULATION EXERCISE ASSIGNS POSITIVE MARK TO: THE ORIGINALITY OF THE PROPOSED SOLUTION, THE RIGHT PRE-SIMULATION WRITING OF THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR THE SYSTEM DYNAMICS, THE LIMITED COMPLEXITY OF THE ALGORITHM, THE NUMERICAL EFFECTIVENESS, THE VERSATILITY OF THE SOLUTION DESIGNED BY THE CANDIDATE.
