THE COURSE AIM AT PROVIDING TO THE STUDENTS OF THE MASTER DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING THE TOOLS USEFUL FOR THE THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF VIBRATING SYSTEMS.

DISCRETE SYSTEMS. SYSTEM MODELLING. FREE VIBRATIONS, DAMPING ESTIMATION, ENERGY METHODS. TWO-N DEGREE OF FREEDOM SYSTEMS. MODAL AND PSEUDO-MODAL APPROACHES. VIBRATION OF CONTINUOUS SYSTEMS. MODELS BASED ON LUMPED PARAMETERS. MODAL TESTING AND VIBRATIONS MEASUREMENTS: METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS. CRITICAL (BENDING AND TORSIONAL) SPEEDS, PARAMETRIC VIBRATIONS OF ROTOR SYSTEMS.
