EDUCATIONAL AIMS THE TEACHING AIMS, THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF THE MAIN CLASSIC AUTHORS OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIOLOGICAL THOUGHT, TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO THE LEADING TEXTS AND CONCEPTS BY WHICH SOCIOLOGICAL TRADITION INTERPRETED AND IS INTERPRETING THE MODERNITY, ITS GENESIS, DEVELOPMENT AND LINES OF EVOLUTION. IN PARTICULAR WILL RECEIVE SPECIFIC ATTENTION THE WAY IN WHICH HAS BEEN INTERPRETED THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIETY, THE RELIGION, THE CONCEPTS OF SOCIAL SOLIDARITY AND THE COMMON FOUNDATIONS OF COEXISTENCE IN HIGHLY DIFFERENTIATED AND PLURALIST SOCIETIES. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE TEACHING WILL PROVIDE A KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO HAVE A CONCEPTUAL FRAME AT THEIR DISPOSAL IN WHICH TO PLACE THE SOCIOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE, LEARNING, FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS AND A SPECIFIC SOCIOLOGICAL VOCABULARY USEFUL PARTICULARLY FOR UNDERSTANDING ALL THE MAIN SPECIAL DYNAMICS OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIETIES. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE COURSE PROPOSES ONESELF TO PROVIDE TO STUDENTS SKILLS THAT ALLOW THEM TO UNDERSTAND ROLE AND MEANING OF THE ANALYZING PROCESS OF SOCIAL QUESTION FROM A SOCIOLOGICAL POINT, OF USING DIFFERENT THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES, THAT, FROM TIME TO TIME, WILL TRY TO UNDERSTAND, INTERPRET AND EXPLAIN SOCIAL EVENTS. |
