EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES AND SKILLS TO BE OBTAINED: KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR UNDERSTANDING AND ANALYSING A BUILDING ORGANISM FROM A CONSTRUCTIVE, FUNCTIONAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL POINT OF VIEW. ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO EXPRESS IN GRAPHIC TERMS THE ELEMENTS CHARACTERISING THE BUILDING ORGANISM, BOTH WITH REFERENCE TO THE DIMENSION OF THE EXISTING BUILDING AND WITH REFERENCE TO NEW BUILDINGS. KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND: TO UNDERSTAND THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN THE FIELD OF MODELS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING ORGANISM, THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF THE ARCHITECTURAL GRAPHIC LANGUAGE AND THE METHODOLOGIES OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROJECT. CAPACITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO BE ABLE TO ELABORATE GRAPHIC MODELS AND REPORTS FOR THE ANALYSIS, READING AND STUDY OF BUILDING TECHNOLOGY THROUGH THE COGNITIVE AND TRANSFORMATIVE PROCESSES OF BUILDING. ABILITY TO REPRODUCE AND REWORK THE METHODS AND KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL DESIGN OF A BUILDING. AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT: TO BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS FOR UNDERSTANDING AND RENDERING IN GRAPHIC FORM THE CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS AT THE VARIOUS SCALES OF REPRESENTATION, OPTIMISING THE PROCESS IN RELATION TO THE ASSIGNED THEME. COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS: TO BE ABLE TO WORK IN A GROUP AND PRESENT ORALLY AND GRAPHICALLY AN ARGUMENT RELATED TO THE TOPICS COVERED DURING TEACHING. LEARNING SKILLS: TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AND BE ABLE TO LEARN INDEPENDENTLY ABOUT NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FIELD OF CONSTRUCTION. |
Prerequisites | |

Teaching Methods | |
---|---|
THEORETICAL LESSONS AND EXERCISES IN THE CLASSROOM. THE ARGUMENTS ARE INTRODUCED IN THE THEORETICAL LESSONS INTRODUCING THE CONSOQUENT AND TRANSFORMING PROCESSES OF BUILDING. IN THE EXERCISES THE STUDENTS ARE ASSIGNED TO ELABORATE A PROJECT BY USING THE TECHNIQUES ILLUSTRATED IN THE THEORETICAL LESSONS. THE PERFORMANCE OF EXERCISES IS GUIDED BY THE TEACHER AND TAKES TO DEVELOP AND STRENGTHEN THE ABILITY OF THE STUDENT IN KNOWLEDGE BUILDING A BUILDING PROJECT IN A ASSIGNED CONTEXT. ATTENDANCE TO THE COURSE IS COMPULSORY AS PROVIDED BY THE APPLICABLE REGULATIONS. MINIMUM ATTENDANCE IS 75% OF LESSONS. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET OBJECTIVES TAKES PLACE BY MEANS OF A FINAL ORAL EXAMINATION, WHICH ALSO INVOLVES CHECKING THE RESULTS OBTAINED IN CARRYING OUT THE EXERCISES (PROJECT AND GRAPHIC DESIGN, REPORTS, ETC.). THE ASSESSMENT IS SINGLE AND IS EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAMINATION TIME IS 25 MINUTES. FOR THE PURPOSES OF HONOURS, ACCOUNT WILL BE TAKEN - THE QUALITY OF THE EXPOSITION, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF APPROPRIATE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE - THE ABILITY TO CROSS-REFERENCE THE VARIOUS TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES - THE AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT DEMONSTRATED. |
